Who are you?

I once guided adventures seeking Ascension from Hero's Overlook down to Augury Rock. I remain here to tell the Forgotten's tale and honor the ritual that once allowed Chosen to ascend.

The Forgotten were the keepers of Glint's Legacy. They built a city in the southern desert and another one in the Maguuma, where the Exalted carry out their vigil. All have since died or been Branded.

When Kralkatorrik blazed a trail through the Crystal Desert, many Forgotten were Branded. The rest retreated, forced to make a last stand in this place, only for it to be their tomb.

Why is that name, Essher, familiar?

It may be, if you've visited Auric Basin. There was one devouted human who, after transfering himself to the Exalted armor, chose to take Essher as his namesake. Perhaps you met him.
