Field Tech Turrets are turrets erected from [FTT] Turret Sites, which can be further configured to provide various effects. [FTT] Deployment Kits can be purchased from Krewe Leader Drazz.

[FTT] Inactive Turrets can also be calibrated to become allied by interacting with them and using 10 Spare Parts. Turrets activated this way cannot be reconfigured or upgraded but can still be repaired.

Configuring and upgrading[edit]

Field Tech Turrets can be configured, upgraded, and repaired using Spare Parts.pngSpare Parts.

  • To configure a turret, you will need to have unlocked the schematic for that type via [FTT 101-107] Core Turret Dynamics.
  • To upgrade a turret, you will need to have unlocked an upgrade for that type by upgrading it to the previous level several times. (See [FTT 201–407] Practicum in Advanced Dynamics for a detailed guide to unlocking upgrades.)
  • A single turret can be reconfigured and upgraded multiple times. To upgrade to higher levels, you will need to upgrade to the previous levels first.

Notes[edit]

  • Field Tech Turrets may only be deployed in the Domain of Kourna.
  • Reconfiguring a turret will reset it back to level 1 and costs no spare parts.
  • Upgrading a turret will heal it for a small amount; reconfiguring will not.
  • The turret has [FTT] Extempore Drawbacks and loses health every 2 seconds.
  • Turrets cannot be healed directly via boons or healing skills, but can be healed using buffs such as the effect applied by Skelk Venom by thieves (the turret gets healed when it attacks).
    • Due to this, a thief running Leeching Venoms in the Shadow Arts trait line, as well as 5 of the 6 available Venom skills, can heal turrets very well without having to spend spare parts.
  • Only one player may interact with a turret at any given time. This means that, despite being the original owner of the turret, the player who placed the turret will not be able to upgrade, change the type of, or repair their turret while another player is viewing the turret's user interface.
    • Non-owners may only repair or upgrade turrets. Only owners may reconfigure to a different type.
  • Be careful when interacting with the turret since they won't change instantly after upgrading, leading to wasting spare parts if you try to upgrade or reconfigure it again too quickly.
  • The Speed Wall applies the Superspeed.png [FTT] Speed Wall Acceleration effect to players.
  • The Gravimetric Tunneling Field Oscillator applies the Magnetic Discharge.png Gravimetric Tunneling Field Oscillator effect to players.
