Dialogue[edit]
During Flame and Frost: Retribution[edit]
- At the Victory Bonfire of Might and Main
- A hardy fellow force for good! What a treat to see you. Sit, enjoy the fire, and let's savor our victory!
- What news have you?
- The Molten Alliance has been confronted with cold reality. The Vigil is keeping an eye out for more of those weapon facilities, but they don't expect to see any. Me, I learned how bittersweet victory can be.
- That's a tough lesson to learn.
- Thanks. Maybe I will.
During The Secret of Southsun[edit]
- At Cragstead
- Well, if it isn't my friend <Character name>. I'm happy to see you. Look around! We've done some work on rebuilding Cragstead.
- I see that. How are you?
- Great. I've been helping Yngvi. We've got new folks moving in, too, refugees from all around. And did I tell you I found Ottilia?
- That's good.
- Very good. We found each other in Hoelbrak after the fighting had ended. We traveled back to Cragstead together.
- Have you seen your mother?
- She sent a message saying she'd like to see me, but I don't see the point. Why now, after all these years? Has she gotten tired of fighting dragons? I doubt it.
- Maybe she wants you to fight them with her?
- Maybe, but I have to fight my own fights. I can't fight hers. She left to fight them, and she can have them!
- I understand.
- Me, too.
- Nicely done.
- Excellent.
- So I see. Be well, my friend.
- Braham: Ottilia, how are you? Are you glad to be home?
- Ottilia: I suppose. I'm glad you're here too.
- Braham: Ummm...that's good. I'm glad you're here, too. I mean...
- Ottilia: (laugh) You're adorable. I have to go help my father. See you later.
During Dragon Bash[edit]
- At Cragstead
- My day just went from bad to worse. It's time to rethink my future.
- You don't need her.
- Ottilia: I thought maybe...you know...we could go on a hunt together or something.
- Braham: Uh...yeah, sure. So...what do you want to hunt? Jotun? Svanir?
- Ottilia: Ooh, I know! I'd just love to have a new rabbit-fur vest. We could hunt rabbits!
- Braham: Rabbits?
- Ottilia: This'll be so much fun. I'll be ready at dawn tomorrow. See you then!
During Bazaar of the Four Winds[edit]
- At Cragstead
- Braham: I thought maybe, if you want, we could go to Wolf's shrine together today.
- Ottilia: No, thanks. I went earlier and took all my gifts for Wolf then.
- Braham: Well, maybe we could eat together this evening? The weather is fair.
- Ottilia: I don't think so. I'm going with Ebbe. He's a merchant, and he sells furs in all the cities. What do you do?
- Braham: I...what?
- Ottilia: Exactly. Enjoy growing old in Cragstead like all the others. I'll send news of my travels. Promise!
During Queen's Jubilee[edit]
- Speaking to Braham inside the Crown Pavilion (only if the character has helped Braham during Flame and Frost)
- Hey there. Name's Braham. I'm here with Rox.
- I'm <Character name>. Good to meet you.
- Bug: Braham did not recognize characters who helped him during Flame and Frost.
During Escape from Lion's Arch[edit]
- At Cornucopian Fields
- Rox: Rawr!
- Braham Eirsson: Why you so jumpy?
- Rox: Can't you hear those explosions?
- Braham Eirsson: Well, if we don't get blown up, then the miasma will probably kill us.
- Rox: Or the clockworks.
- Braham Eirsson: Or those thrice-damned Aetherblades.
- Rox: And don't forget the krait.
- Braham Eirsson: I'm already hearing the song they'll sing about us.
- Braham Eirsson: I wonder if Marjory and Kasmeer are still in one piece. They aren't as battle hardened as we are.
- Rox: They'll be fine. Marjory's got a keen eye for trouble, and Kasmeer can hold her own with illusions, surprisingly.
- Braham Eirsson: That won't help them if they're too busy making lovey eyes at each other.
- Rox: Hey. I remember not so long ago when you were in love too.
- Braham Eirsson: Yeah, and I regret every minute of it.
- Rox: (chuckle) Rejection is a bitter pill, hmm?
- Braham Eirsson: Hmph.
During Festival of the Four Winds 2014[edit]
- At The Crown Pavilion (zone)
- It's good to be back in Divinity's Reach. The last time I was here, Scarlet showed up and I spent more time chasing her than I did enjoying the Queen's Jubilee.
- Can I ask you a question?
- Go right ahead. Just don't be too disappointed if I keep it brief. I'm all about actions, not words.
- Are you on vacation?
- You mean why am I living it up at this festival instead of tracking down whatever Scarlet stirred up? Because they said it would help Lion's Arch. Because my friends are here.
- And maybe because your leg isn't fully healed yet? (Same as "How's your leg?" below)
- Tell me about Scarlet.
- Sylvari engineer. Too smart for her own good. Too smart for anyone's good, really. She was great at making advanced weaponry and getting other lunatics to follow her lead.
- Anything else I should know about her?
- Unpredictable. Dangerous. She ran around attacking whole regions because of voices in her head. Once we're done here, I intend to find those voices and shut 'em up for good.
- Speaking of which, why'd you cut Scarlet off when she was about to tell us everything?
- You're kidding, right? And give her another chance to escape, or pull out some weird new weapon, or hurt Rox like she hurt me? It wasn't worth the risk.
- Can I ask you a question?
- Good-bye.
- Can I ask you a question?
- Good-bye.
- Can I ask you a question?
- Good-bye.
- Can I ask you a question?
- Good-bye.
- How's your leg?
- Did Rox tell you to say that? Never mind—my leg is fine. Scarlet broke my bones, but I'm still on my feet. And I'm getting stronger every day.
- Tell me about Scarlet. (Same as "Tell me about Scarlet" above)
- Can I ask you a question?
- Good-bye.
- You didn't get to enjoy the Queen's Jubilee?
- Not after Scarlet showed up. She shot at the queen, took hostages, hijacked the watchknights, and twisted them into her own mechanical shock troops to terrorize the entire region.
- So you missed the Crown Pavilion?
- Mostly. I saw a little bit of action inside, but mostly Rox and I were hustling after Scarlet and trying to put a stop to her nonsense.
- Can I ask you a question?
- Good-bye.
- I was there, remember? So Scarlet made you miss the Crown Pavilion? (Same as "So you missed the Crown Pavilion?" above)
- That won't happen this time. We made sure of that.
- That's right. It took us a while to get her to stand and fight, but once we did, we shut her up and shut her down. Permanently.
- Speaking of which, why'd you cut Scarlet off when she was about to tell us everything? (Same as "Speaking of which..." above)
- Can I ask you a question?
- Good-bye.
- Can I ask you a question?
- Good-bye.
- Where's Taimi?
- She was more interested in the Zephyrites, so she's in Labyrinthine Cliffs with Jory and Kas. Bet you can find her there if you look hard enough.
- Can they manage her as well as you did?
- Heh. I'm not sure I "managed" her at all, but Jory and Kas will be fine. Taimi's a bit of an escape artist, so they need to keep an eye on her. An eye, and maybe a bell.
- Can I ask you a question?
- Good-bye.
- Can I ask you a question?
- Good-bye.
- Good-bye
- Glad you're getting a second chance.
- Heal-o-Tron: Your—information—is—outdated, constable. I—have—already—paid—my—societal—debt—to—Divinity's—Reach.
- Heal-o-Tron: The—Lionguard—has—recruited—me—as—an—emergency—relief—worker. I—am—here—today—in—that—capacity.
- Ministry Guard: Tell it to the tribunal. You're a known collaborator. You sang for Scarlet. Come quietly or I'll dismantle you.
- Braham Eirsson: Whoa there! Did you just threaten a hero of Lion's Arch?
- Rox: That little guy saved a lot of lives when Scarlet attacked the city.
- Rox: If you want him, you'll have to go through us. And afterward you'll answer to Magnus the Bloody—Handed himself.
- Ministry Guard: I—er—Grenth's teeth! If your story doesn't pan out, I'll be back.
- Heal-o-Tron: Thank—you—for—your—assistance. Returning—to—Divinity's—Reach—was—a—concern, as—I—was—not—sure—I'd—be—allowed—to—leave.
- Rox: And the fact that you came anyway proves you're worthy of respect.
- Heal-o-Tron: I—had—to—come. Lion's—Arch—still—needs—help—that—I—am—in—a—position—to—provide.
- Braham Eirsson: Stick close. If the law hassles you again, I want to be there to set 'em straight.
- Heal-o-Tron: Agreed. And—if—the—local—authorities—do—incarcerate—me, I—hope—you—will—buy—my—billet.
- Rox: I don't think they do that here. But rest assured. If they lock you up, we'll get you out. One way or the other.
- Rox: How do you think Jory and Kas are doing with Taimi?
- Braham Eirsson: I figure by now, Kas wants to adopt her; Jory wants to stuff her in a bag. Or maybe vice versa.
- Braham Eirsson: Either way, each will stop the other from getting what they want.
- Rox: You miss the little squirt, don't you? Never really pictured you as a willing babysitter for someone like her.
- Braham Eirsson: What can I say? Norn love a challenge.
- Braham Eirsson: Tell me the truth. Was Rytlock furious you chose to help me over killing Scarlet yourself?
- Rox: It's hard to tell. Rytlock mad is a lot like Rytlock overjoyed. Or Rytlock sleeping.
- Braham Eirsson: Well, did he say anything? Offer congratulations? Threaten you?
- Rox: All I got was a dispatch from him after it all went down. It said, "Interesting choice. Now live with it.
- Braham Eirsson: Oh. So, uh...is that good or bad?
- Rox: Your guess is as good as mine.
- Rox: For the last time, no. I'm not going to try to hit you.
- Braham Eirsson: I'm fully healed, and I can prove it. Take a shot. I insist. Come on, hit me. Hit me!
- Rox: (sigh) Fine. Frostbite?
- Braham Eirsson: Okay, maybe I'm not ready for the Pavilion. But I took that better than I thought I would. I'm almost fully healed.
- Rox: Burn me, you're just not gonna let this go, are you?
- Braham Eirsson: Just stop your whining and hit me again. Come on! Hit me!
- Rox: Frostbite says all this bluster and attitude you've been giving me about your leg is just you blowing smoke.
- Braham Eirsson: Oh, yeah? What does he say this smoke is covering up?
- Rox: That you know what choosing you over the warband cost me. And you feel guilty about being so snotty to me beforehand.
- Rox: He says you're too proud to say all that, but if you just said thanks, I'd know you meant all the rest.
- Braham Eirsson: That devourer of yours is awfully talkative for something that can't actually speak. And, uh...Rox?
- Rox: Yeah?
- Braham Eirsson: Thanks.
At Dragon's Stand (Heart of Thorns)[edit]
- Before completing Hearts and Minds
- When are we heading down to dig Mordremoth out? My mace is twitchy.
- Do you think we can beat it? We still don't know its weakness.
- I know we can. I can feel it trembling at the very thought of us. So maybe we don't know its weakness, but it's scared. Why else would it have pulled Trahearne away? We must be close.
- Hm. That's an astute observation.
- Yeah. I think some of Taimi's genius might be rubbing off on me. Don't tell her I said that.
- My lips are sealed. Tell your mace to be ready. We'll be going in soon.
- After completing Hearts and Minds
- Another victory! They're adding up. Jormag's next on the docket, right?
- A little rest might be in order first, don't you think?
- Rest? I'm not resting until all the Elder Dragons are dead. Eir helped you kill Zhaitan. It's up to me to help you take down the rest. I see that now, and I'm ready.
- Eir would be proud of you. But, we have to rest before charging back in.
- We have a good guild. There's nothing we can't do if we put our minds to it. I suppose we've earned a little break, but hopefully not too long.
- I'm sure trouble will find us before too much time has passed, my friend.
