It's not the easiest to discern the motives of a Mindforge, deceptive and yet wielding a host of a supporting abilities, some may see them as the most benevolent applications of mesmeric arts. Though there are those who doubt the intentions of this particular path of mesmerdom, claiming that they use their allies instead, manipulating them so that they take the brunt of enemy assaults and scavenging from the most secret of memories. Despite these grievances, parties far and wide have benefited from the help of a Mindforge, those who have Mindmelded with them feel enhanced beyond their wildest dreams, protected by illusions of themselves. Despite their supportive side, a Mindforge is just as dangerous when caught by alone, with a range of disruptive abilities, and the ability to hide within their clones through melding with them.

Mindforge skills[edit]

Profession mechanic[edit]

The Mindforge gains the ability to Mindmeld with a target within a selected area. Once melded the Mindforge is stealthed and nigh undetectable through normal means. Their selected meld target become the origin of all Mindforge abilities, as well as becoming the visual source of illusions that are normally made by a mesmer. When no allies are available, a Mindforge can choose to meld with a clone instead, deceptively hiding away from would be predators and striking with impunity. While having access to their normal shatters when not Mindmelded, upon meld, a Mindforge has access to Auspicious Shatters, utilizing the energy stored in illusions to heal and support allies.

F1: Mind Mend Auspicious Shatter 3 Destroy all clones. Heal and cure conditions from surrounding allies for each clone destroyed.
F2: Cry of Triumph Auspicious Shatter 5 Destroy all clones. Heal and grant might (12s) and vigor (5s) to surrounding allies for each clone destroyed.
F3: Concentration Auspicious Shatter 8 Destroy all clones. Heal, stun break, and grant stability (5s) to surrounding allies for each clone destroyed.
F4: Perfection Auspicious Shatter 12 Destroy all clones. Heal surrounding allies for each clone destroyed and grant your meld target quickness (2s) and alacrity (2s) for each clone destroyed.
F5: Mindmeld Mindmeld 1/4 1 Meld your mind with that of an ally allowing them to be the origin of your abilities and grants access to Auspicious Shatters. Gain stealth (5s) every 5 seconds and move at a greatly reduced speed.
F5: Dismiss Meld Mindmeld 1/4 1 Release your current Mindmeld.

Weapon skills[edit]

Mindforges utilize shortbows to keep in range of their enemies while still able to easily support their allies with a variety of disruptive bow based magics.

2 Astral Mark 1/2 4 Fire an arrow that damages and marks the target area and applies vulnerability (6s) to foes.
2 Redirect Arrow.png Inspired Step 1/4 Shadowstep 300 units towards your mark, leaving behind a clone.
3 Power Drain 1/4 6 Fire an arrow that damages and tethers (6s) to targets in the selected area, if the link is broken weakness (4s) is applied and you gain vigor (4s). Gain might (8s) for each tethered target.
3 Redirect Arrow.png Power Flux 1/4 Prematurely snap the established tether dazing (1/4s) targets.
4 Psychic Instability 1/4 15 Fire arrows that damages and tethers (6s) to targets in the selected area, if the link is broken the target is knocked down (1 1/2s).
4 Redirect Arrow.png Revealed Instability 1/4 Prematurely snap the established tether damaging and dazing (1/4s) targets. If they are interrupted, they are knocked down for double the normal duration instead.
5 Phantasmal Burden 3/4 20 Fire a spread of arcing arrows that damages and applies slow (3s) and cripple (6s) to enemies in the target area. Summon two illusions that replicates this attack.

Slot skills[edit]

Mindforges utilizes conjures to support allies and to augment themselves. However, unlike traditional magical instruments Mindforge conjures are ethereal and do not possess a physical form. Once applied they augment abilities instead, enhancing recipients and rewarding them for every action that they take. Each conjure has 5 charges.

Sword of Absolution 1/2 25 Manifest a sword for yourself and at target location. Wielders deal an delayed strike of damage for every action they take to their target, they gain a shield that briefly destroys incoming projectiles (3s) at the end of the sword's duration.
Chalice of Sentiment 1/4 25 Manifest a chalice for yourself and at target location. Wielders heal and apply regeneration (3s) to surrounding allies for every action they take, they grant surrounding allies protection (5s) at the end of the chalice's duration.
Wand of Vivacity 3/4 25 Manifest a wand for yourself and at target location. Wielder's actions are cast as if they had quickness (does not stack), they grant surrounding allies fury (10s) and vigor (5s) at the end of the wand's duration.
Coin of Opulence 1/2 25 Manifest a coin for yourself and at target location. Wielders are granted a random offensive boon for every action they take, they gain aegis (10s) at the end of the coin's duration.

Elite[edit]

Mirror of Grandeur 3/4 90 Manifest a mirror for yourself and at target location. Each action of the wielder is duplicated for a portion of the original effect. Create 2 clones of yourself or your meld target at the end of the mirror's duration.

Major Grandmaster Calculated Disruption Shortbow skills have increased attack speed and reduced recharge. Non-autoattack shortbow skills apply daze (1/4s) on hit.
Major Grandmaster Glimmering Bastion 5 Recharge time You are no longer stealthed nor move at a greatly reduced pace while Mindmelded, instead gain a barrier around you that destroys incoming projectiles (5s).
