Recreated instead of Renamed

It looks as though the Black Lion Chest, Black Lion Chest (Locked), and Black Lion Key pages were created instead of moving the Mystic Chest, Mystic Chest (Locked), and Mystic Key respectively. If the Mystic items were truly renamed in game to the Black Lion versions, then I feel the Black Lion pages need to be deleted so the Mystic pages can be moved into these spots, otherwise, there are duplicate pages. One will show as historical content (Mystic) and current game content (Black Lion). I was under the impression that when something was renamed, it was moved, not the new content created and old content marked as historical. Jfarris964 22:28, 15 August 2012 (UTC)

Social Items

Current text says, "random item from the Black Lion store". This DOES include the 3 pack of mini-pets does (I was quite surprised when I got it!), but I wonder if this includes the outfits as well. Worth Anything At All?

Are these worth anything at all? I've never seen one to give anything worth the cost of the keys, even considering you get the keys as drops sometimes. Just temporary potions and such.

New drops from Black Lion Chest?

So I opened a chest and got a Personal Black Lion Merchant Express from it. I'm guessing that it's a really rare drop.

Hi I received a Personal Black Lion Trader Express from the chest which spawns a trading post npc at your location for anyone to use and it has infinite uses (the item is account bound from opening it). Show/Hide button for old tonics

I've re-added old tonics for the historic reasons, for example someone wondering now where those tonics came from originally after seeing them on someone's screenshot or posted in chat. However, they do not need to be that prominent. Can someone place them inside Hide/Show table? I didn't wanted to use the spoiler template for obvious reasons, and didn't exactly knew how to do the other way.

New drops and behaviour from chest as of 14-12-2012 update

So anyways, now chests have a chance to drop up to 3 items with boosts having a chance to drop or not drop. Also tonics have a chance to drop / not drop but if tonics don't drop something else WILL drop. Whenever a boost does not drop it is possible to have 2 other items drop, but I have always seen at least one of the drops being a bag of coins. Also PvP glory boosters, bags of coins, unid dye (1-2), and guild discoveries now drop. Guild discoveries give your guild influence with small providing 50 inf, medium 100 inf, large 300 inf. I don't know if any other guild discoveries exist past large. A Liability 08:27, 15 December 2012 (UTC)

Fused Weapon Claim Ticket

Logic: A negation of a precept does not negate the consequent. It only negates the logic formula being interrogated.

In this case, just because one page does not mention it does not mean that it's not so. Statement 1 is that there's no statement. Statement 2 says that the item only comes from that one chest. Together, they say that the item only comes from that one chest (same as statement 2 by itself).

Perhaps, though, it would be good to add the notation to the other page. That way, anybody reading either page who finds a contradiction would be able to correct it on that page. Daddicus

Exclusivity references

This is really ridiculous and just gets worse as they add more items. I think the page would be easier to read if the information was presented as a sortable table. Could use color-coding and/or exclusivity column instead of these ^{1 2} ref things. Vili 点 22:34, 3 March 2014 (UTC)

Yeah, I wasn't sure about it either. Color coding is an interesting idea that I hadn't considered, but it would require putting it in a table first, and that isn't really how this type of info is usually presented. The lack of 4th guaranteed item

I think it should be mentioned in article that since latest update BLC doesn't contain fourth guaranteed item that was introduced along with new chest interface. The intro and Contents section were already updated to state that a chest gives 3 items. I listed the "fourth items" under the Historical section.

Zodiac skin

I just got a Zodiac Warhorn Skin from a black lion chest, which I didn't know was possible. I don't remember seeing any mention of updates to the drop table in recent patch notes. How to unlist items not available in chests but still available in game?

With the August 9th update, Crystallized Magic was removed from chest but I believe it's still available through others sources. How could I edit this page to remove it from the contained items? Feedback 2016/10/11

According to the July 26th patch notes both the Dye Pack and Mad King Dye Kit were removed. And from the April 19th patch notes "Rare stand-alone miniatures have been removed and replaced with a new Black Lion Miniature Claim Ticket" which should be Scarlet, Mai Trin, Marjory, Kasmeer, and Caithe (though the latter two didn't make it into the new Claim Ticket reward list). --50.176.226.40 04:22, 11 October 2016 (UTC)

4 Slots in Chest

The chest I opened tonight had 4 slots. Somewhat annoying since I bought and used 25 keys a few nights ago...when there were only 3 slots in each chest. 2016/11/30 Separ (talk) 03:37, 1 December 2016 (UTC)

That just means you got lucky and got a 4th drop instead of the (now) regular 3, though I believe it should mention the option of 4th drop somewhere on the page, no? - Do_odleplex 03:44, 1 December 2016 (UTC)

It's explained in the current text of the article: "Each Black Lion Chest contains three common items: a seasonal item (which is the first item listed below), one convenience item and one account progression item. In addition there is a chance at an uncommon, rare or super rare item which will appear as an additional fourth drop." -- Dashface 03:49, 1 December 2016 (UTC)

Preview missing

Or if you open the trading post and type "black lion chest", you can right-click on the chest icon + select "preview". I'm so glad I double checked before hitting save or we'd have had a 3 way edit conflict with Darqam as the winner and me coming in second haha. The ability to preview (some)containers was added during Halloween when they updated the Black Lion Chests to have seasonal contents. Statistic about 4th slot?

I would like to know if we have any statistic about how often the 4th slot is spawning? I open regularly BL chests and never see it. That makes me wonder. For example, within the last days, I did open 3 chests, and today with the special offer on BLT, I opened 10 more: Out of those 13 chests, never got a 4th slot. Add all the drop rate percentages from this table for the items that don't drop in the first three slots (list found on main page)? Of course, there is not much data gathered yet, so I'm not sure how accurate it is. Weapon set pattern?

I'm wondering if there is any noticeable pattern to when weapon sets show up in the Rare/Super Rare categories? E.g. 1 year after they are released for Super Rare, 2 years for Rare. Have they repeated any sets yet? If so did the set change rarity? Any obvious characteristics that make a set likely to be categorized as Super Rare?
