Dialogue[edit]
- Isgarren, after completing Treachery and before unlocking the collection
- Wayfinder, after everything... I must thank you. For protecting my people, my home. This place is a reflection of myself, so to say. Without it... I don't know what would become of me. Or Tyria.
- Anything else I can do?
- These events gave me pause and a moment to reflect on things I've left unsettled for too long. I...have a task I'd request of you.
- What is it?
- Isgarren: We have kept the walls around Tyria up for ages now. There has been much conflict in that time, all across the world.
- Isgarren: There are items that have been left hidden in the process. It seemed the safest approach, but the situation has changed.
- Isgarren: They must be recovered. Our gift to the people of Tyria is that they never know just how much danger they've been in.
- I've got plenty of tasks already.
- You're welcome.
- Isgarren, after starting the collection, before completing objectives
- Are you making progress on the task I gave you?
- What was I supposed to be doing again?
- You were given a list of items that need to be retrieved, lest the citizens of Tyria discover the nature of our work.
- Ah, that's right.
- Can you give me any advice on where to find them?
- Very well. What do you need to know?
- Where is this jeweled amulet?
- I suspect it fell from the tower when it was moved. Garenhoff would be the logical place to start.
- Back.
- Where can I find "Planning for Tyria's Future"?
- The tome was sealed away in one of the beacons in Orr, then it was lost when the continent fell. If it has survived, it will be in a tower there.
- Which one though?
- Its caretaker went mad and renamed it. I believe he started calling himself a vizier. Perhaps that will narrow it down.
- Back.
- Leave.
- Where should I look for this tainted bloodstone censer?
- The cursed censer was locked away in the Bloodstone Caves, where I had hoped it would remain. But alas, here we are.
- Back.
- Leave.
- Do you know what Mabon's favorite food from Divinity's Reach was?
- I never asked him about it, but he often spoke fondly of cuisine from Elona, and also of the value of bloodstone as an ingredient. Perhaps some combination of them?
- Back.
- Leave.
- What about this Kryptis research document?
- The research was being done at Rata Pten before its demise. I wouldn't tarry long__I've heard talk of excavations happening in the area.
- Back.
- Leave.
- What do I need a Kryptis body for?
- It's less about needing one and more about not leaving any behind. Incursions in Tyria proper increase the risk of their remains being found.
- Back.
- Leave.
- Where should I find this missing stone?
- The stone was last in possession of a ward member at the former beacon in Ascalon. It is mistakeable for an ordinary stone and likely still resides there.
- Back.
- Leave.
- Leave.
- Upon retrieving Jeweled Amulet
- Isgarren: Good, you've found it. The amulet's power faded ages ago, but the knowledge of Akeem must be kept secret.
- Isgarren: Their name has been forgotten among mortals, but the legacy of their work is eternal. It's how they would have wanted it.
- Upon retrieving Planning for Tyria's Future
- Isgarren: You've found it? Very good. I was beginning to think it was lost forever.
- Isgarren: Vass always held such wisdom, and such belief in Tyria and its people. After losing her, I...
- Isgarren: Thank you for retrieving the tome. It will be of great use to me.
- Upon retrieving Tainted Bloodstone Censer
- Isgarren: Ages ago, this vault was constructed by the Astral Ward to house that tainted bloodstone censer. It was no longer safe there.
- Isgarren: I suspected the Kryptis might already have used it to enter Tyria and would be lying in ambush.
- Isgarren: No matter, though; you've recovered it now. It will be kept safer in the Wizard's Tower.
- Behruseh
- We got all the finest exotic delicacies, just like you're in Amnoon! What'll you have?
- A curry bun with a sprinkle of bloodstone.
- Huh, you know, you're the second person I've ever heard order that. Haven't seen the other guy in a while, though. Anyway, here you go, enjoy.
- Thanks. (Obtain Curry Bun with Bloodstone)
- Priory Scholar at Rata Pten
- I've been working for weeks on these scrolls, but I must be getting close. Once I crack the cipher they used, I'll be able to write a dozen papers about early asuran society.
- How much for the scrolls?
- What? How dare you! You can't put a price on knowledge like this. Go away; you're distracting me!
- Leave.
- Can I borrow them? Maybe I can figure it out.
- Ha! This is my entire field of study, and you think you're going to crack it instead? Stop wasting my time; I'm very busy here.
- Leave.
- Oh no, those jerks really tricked you, didn't they?
- What are you talking about? Who tricked me?
- A rival research group planted fake artifacts here to waste your time.
- Oh, come on, that's not possible...is it? Although... I did find it odd that I couldn't crack this cipher yet, despite my expertise in the field...
- If you let me borrow them, maybe I can prove it.
- Fine, whatever. Dammit! All this wasted time. Make them pay for this, all right? I need a drink...
- Farewell. (Obtain Ancient Astral Ward Manual)
- Upon retrieving Beacon Stone
- Isgarren: When the beacons were more active, stones like that one allowed ward members to quickly return to the tower.
- Isgarren: For obvious reasons, we can't risk it being discovered. But perhaps I can restore it for your use later.
- Returning to Isgarren
- Wayfinder, have you gathered all the relics?
- I've found them all.
- Isgarren: Fine work. The secrets of the Astral Ward are safe once again. Trust me, it is better for Tyria if we remain hidden. For now.
- Isgarren: You continue to prove your value to the ward. Feel free to keep that stone to return here whenever you like.
- Isgarren: There will likely be much need of your skills in the future.
- Not yet.
