Overview[edit]
This is a list of personal builds I use in both open world and instanced content. Builds are tagged according to usage and a brief description of each is given.
Structured vs Unstructured[edit]
Builds will often have (Structured) or (Unstructured) in their name. This is a simple indicator on if the build was built with allies in mind or not. Structured builds are usually designed for raids, fractals, dungeons, and open world squads. Unstructured builds are designed to be played solo or in small groups, though they are usually not bad in farm squads either.
Build Tags[edit]

Solo | Build is designed for solo play. |
Support | Build offers ally support through healing or boons. |
Tagging | Build is exceptionally adept at tagging. |
Lab | Build is designed specifically Mad King's Labyrinth. |
Warnings[edit]

Elementalist[edit]
Power Weaver (Structured)[edit]
A Power Weaver build for structured content, where you have allies that can support you. This is a modified version of Snowcrows' Power Weaver that I run almost exclusively in raids, though it does well in fractals and open world farm squads. I find this variant more reliable in mediocre pug squads, though it does a bit less damage.
- Build Link 04.07.24
- Tags: Instanced, Squad
- Warnings: High Skill Floor - Animation Lock - Poor Range
- Swaps:
- Simplicity - Glyph of Elementals can replace Weave Self, though this is a large damage loss. This can be useful when learning the build, though an unfinished Weave Self can be nearly the same DPS as this.
- Defense - If I seriously feel I need more defense than this, I will usually swap classes. If necessary, defensive food like Bowl of Orrian Truffle and Meat Stew or Fried Oyster Sandwich can work. If you're really hurting, a Superior Sigil of Energy in place of Impact can work but at a large loss of damage.
- Testing - Taking Water (231) over Fire has yielded some fun results. It's almost always a damage loss, but the little bit of extra utility often feels good in open world or more casual squads.
- User Notes:
- Look at the Snowcrows page for a more specific rotation.
- This build swaps a few things around from the SC page. Notably taking Arcane Shield as a catch-all stunbreak and defensive cooldown and swapping the relic to Relic of the Thief, as I cannot stand Relic of Fireworks. In more organized groups, you can trade out Arcane Shield for any other offensive cooldown.
- The general idea is to rotate between Fire Attunement and Air Attunement while using high priority skills.
- Your strongest skills are Flame Uprising, Cauterizing Strike, Wildfire, Lightning Orb, Quantum Strike, and Pyro Vortex
- Try to double-attune somewhat often. Never stop swapping elements.
- Use Glyph of Storms in Air Attunement off cooldown
- Use Primordial Stance more or less off cooldown
Celestial Signet Tempest (Unstructured)[edit]
A Condition Tempest build for general open world. This build focuses on the power behind Written in Stone to generate auras and maintain passive signet effects.
- Build Link 04.07.24
- Tags: General
- Warnings: Luxury Set
- Swaps:
- Other Relics - Relic of the Fractal, Relic of the Flock
- Defense - Bowl of Orrian Truffle and Meat Stew, though this shouldn't be needed with how much defense you have already.
- Use "Rebound!" in farm squads for ally support.
- Full Variant, Sustain & Ally Support - Water (223) can be taken in place of Earth for a drastic increase to sustain and ally healing. If using this variant, take "Wash the Pain Away!", "Feel the Burn!", "Aftershock!", and "Eye of the Storm!".
- User Notes:
- Use Scepter to abuse range. Use Sword for encounters that heavily benefit from evasion.
- On Scepter, prioritize Dragon's Tooth, Phoenix, Wildfire, Rock Barrier, Dust Storm, and Lightning Orb for damage.
- Use Rock Barrier, Sand Squall, Tidal Surge, and Water Globe for defense/sustain.
- On Sword, prioritize Flame Uprising, Wildfire, Cauterizing Strike, Earthen Vortex, Rust Frenzy, Dust Storm, and Lightning Orb for damage.
- Use Earthen Vortex, Tidal Surge, Water Globe, and Riptide for defense/sustain.
Engineer[edit]
Power Scrapper (Structured & Unstructured)[edit]
I don't play much Engineer myself these days, despite my love of Holosmith. I personally recommend Snowcrows' Power Scrapper, however, as it's an absurdly powerful build in both structured and unstructured play.
Guardian[edit]
Mesmer[edit]
Necromancer[edit]
Power Reaper (Structured & Unstructured)[edit]
I do not play much Necromancer, and when I do I exclusively run Snowcrows' Power Reaper with some minor variations (see below). Reaper is absurdly self-sufficient and performs great in basically all areas of PVE, from solo to squad play.
- Build Link 04.07.24
- This variant drops Dagger for Staff, though I also run Dual Swords occasionally if the mood strikes me. This is mostly because I like having a ranged swap for when I'm forced to disconnect from the boss or if I'm farming in an open world squad.
- I do drop Spectral Grasp for Well of Darkness in raids, like the Snowcrows build, but I rarely take Summon Flesh Golem as I just prefer "Chilled to the Bone!".
Ranger[edit]
Heal Druid (Structured)[edit]
One of my favorite healers. I run Snowcrows' Heal Druid build with almost no variation.
Revenant[edit]
Thief[edit]
Power Daredevil (Structured)[edit]
A Power Daredevil build for raids, fractals, and open world squads.
- Build Link 8.29.23
- Tags: Instanced - Squad
- Warnings: Animation Lock
- Swaps:
- For Tagging in farm trains: Take Unhindered Combatant and use your Shortbow with Superior Sigil of Stamina and Superior Sigil of Fire. Consider using a Relic of Speed.
- Bandit's Defense is a powerful stunbreak
- User Notes:
- Very simple to play. The general idea is to keep Endurance low, maintain your Bounding Dodger buff, use physical skills to regenerate endurance, and dump your initiative on Weakening Charge.
- Use Basilisk Venom for CC
Payback Deadeye (Unstructured)[edit]
A very bursty Power Daredevil build for casual farms in open world. This build excels in trash farms such as spirit shard farming or map completion.
- Build Link 04.07.24
- Tags: General - Tagging
- Warnings: Low Damage
- Swaps:
- Dragon's Breath Bun or Fried Golden Dumpling can be used as DPS food; this is a net-loss in profit, typically, but is better for map comp.
- Relic of Fireworks is a reasonable alternative, as it procs on our Deadeye's Mark.
- User Notes:
- This build is centered around Payback and Renewing Gaze, which allow us to have very low cooldowns on powerful skills such as Thieves Guild and Binding Shadow.
- For damage, use Unload or Shadow Shot and auto-attack.
- Black Powder is an area Blinded
Warrior[edit]
Greatsword Berserker (Unstructured)[edit]
A Power Berserker build for open world farm squads and solo play.
- Build Link 04.07.24
- Tags: Squad - Solo
- Warnings: Animation Lock - Low Ranged Damage
- Swaps:
- Might-On-Crit Food, such as Fried Golden Dumplings, provides some of the highest self-healing in the game thanks to Might Makes Right.
- Condi Cleanse - "Shake It Off!" can replace Outrage / Wild Blow.
- If extra defense is required, use Knight's trinkets.
- User Notes:
- Use Rage Skills to extend Berserk. Use Blood Reckoning to reset your Primal Burst.
- Use Head Butt to instantly generate 30 Adrenaline for Berserk. Due to Brave Stride this will not self-stun in most circumstances.
- Use Scorched Earth and Longbow skills to Tag enemies at-range.
- For damage, open on Longbow, use Scorched Earth twice by resetting the cooldown using Blood Reckoning, then swap to Greatsword.
- On Greatsword, prioritize Hundred Blades and Arc Divider
- CC: Wild Blow, Head Butt, Smoldering Arrow
