Description[edit]
This template displays all game updates, releases, festivals and special events either in current or year calendar mode. Format using {{Release calendar format}}.
Usage[edit]
{{Release calendar}} {{Release calendar|year=<year>}}
Parameters[edit]
- year
- Optional. On default the current mode is used, displaying the last, current and next month. Set to a year to activate the year mode, displaying this whole year.
- weeks
- Optional. Allows to set weeks per year manually if the automated detection isn't working properly (due to ISO week vs starting week at sunday, e.g. 2017).
- data
- Optional. Allows to manually add single day only events. The format for each entry is
{{Release calendar format|<page>|<canonical name>|<release date>|color=<color>}}
; note that the unnamed parameter 1 (page) can also be empty.
Example[edit]
{{Release calendar|year=2021}}
- This release calendar is loosely adjusted to western time zones, as usually the game updates happen at 9:00 PST/PDT (17:00 UTC from early November to mid-March/16:00 UTC from mid-March to early November) for ArenaNet, located in Washington, USA.
- The following events are shown in the release calendar:
- Game updates, using UTC, multiple game updates on the same day are stored in the same page.
- Releases, permanent releases without an end date, usually released with a game update.
- Festivals (or releases with an end date), shifted by 50% to indicate that the festival starts and ends during the day.
- Special events, displayed with alternating colors, shifted by 50% to indicate that the special event starts and ends during the day.
- Technical restrictions:
- The number of events is restricted to at most six events at the same time and 250 in total per year.
- The maximum event duration is limited to two consecutive months.
- Any event exceeding these restrictions won't be displayed.
