Corporal Jantzen is the Seraph officer in charge of commanding and securing Tangle Root Outpost, creating a passage to Dry Top and fending off Inquest saboteurs.

Biography

In 1326 AE, Corporal Jantzen was in charge of a small expeditionary squad of Seraph, including Belinda Delaqua, which was tracking black market traders and thieves from Divinity's Reach to Brisban Wildlands. While trying to cut through new and strange vines blocking a secret ingress which the traders had been using to slip in and out of the wildlands, the corporal met with a group of adventurers led by the Pact Commander and learned that one of these adventurers was Belinda's sister Marjory Delaqua.

The meeting ended with an abrupt Inquest attack, but Jantzen's squad and the Commander's party fought them off. Realizing they the outpost could not withstand an all-out attack while the Seraph were busy investigating the smugglers, Jantzen ordered Belinda to hurry to Fort Salma. He told her to update the forces stationed there on what had happened and oversee getting soldiers posted at the outpost to keep the oddly invasive vines back.

Jantzen provided the Commander with what intel he had about the vines although he admitted not knowing what lay beyond in the Maguuma Wastes which he believed might have changed after the Rising of Orr. He remained stationed at the outpost for a time, sending others from his squad forward to investigate the black market in the meantime while waiting for reinforcements to arrive.
