Walkthrough[edit]

Go to the Seraph Headquarters and talk to Logan. Then, head to the monastery and speak with Captain Tervelan. After a short dialogue, Captain Tervelan will rally some Seraph to his side and attack you.

After getting Tervelan down to around 25% he will become invulnerable and run off. Follow him until he stops at which point he will summon more Seraph and refill his HP.

Continue on until he runs outside and then defeat him as normal. Instead of running off he will surrender and tell you what he knows.

Dialogue[edit]

Seraph Headquarters[edit]

Cinematic with Logan:

<Character name>: Captain, I'm afraid I have bad news. Tervelan is a traitor. He sent me into centaur territory, promising back-up, but then he never actually sent anyone. He meant for us to die there.
Logan Thackeray: That's outrageous. He's a Seraph captain. You're sure it wasn't just a misunderstanding?
<Character name>: I'm sure. I found the rest of Harrinton's journal at the centaur camp. It blatantly accuses Tervelan of conspiring with the centaurs that ambushed Falcon Company.
<Character name>: Tervelan didn't want me investigating these deaths, to the point where he nearly got me killed. I know he's hiding something. Captain.
Logan Thackeray: All right. I need to talk to Tervelan myself. Meet me at the Eldvin Monastery. I'll get there as soon as I can. If he's responsible for the Falcon Company incident, we'll make sure he answers for it.

Talking to Logan after cinematic:

Logan Thackeray: Once Tervelan finds out you're alive, he won't sit around waiting for you to come after him. You should head to Eldvin Monastery now. I'll meet you there.
Talk end option tango.png I'm on my way.

Krytan Freeholds[edit]

Talking to NPCs before Tervelan:

Logan Thackeray: Tervelan's traitor. It's hard to believe. Whoever played him really knew how to manipulate people.
Talk end option tango.png They played on his weak spots...but he made the choice himself. He should pay.
Lieutenant Reginald/Seraph Soldier: The Queen's little loverboy has some nerve showing his face here. Did you two come in a golden carriage?
Talk more option tango.png What do you mean by that, soldier?
We need real Seraph here in Queensdale. Not politicians.
Talk end option tango.png Watch your tongue.
Seraph Soldier: Captain Thackeray's here? Is...is he going to replace Captain Tervelan?
Talk more option tango.png You almost sound as if you'd like that idea.
No, no...I wouldn't do anything against Tervelan...Forget I said that. Please?
Talk end option tango.png Noted.

Cinematic with Tervelan:

Captain Tervelan: Oh, look, it's my lucky day. The city kid is back again, and this time, you brought Captain Thackeray. Two heroes for the price of one. Hm. Nobody's smiling?
<Character name>: You left me and Bigsby alone at that centaur camp, on purpose. Were you hoping we wouldn't make it out alive? Was I getting too close to the truth about what happened to Falcon Company?
Captain Tervelan: You dare accuse a real soldier of treason? If you'd seen half what i've seen, you'd fall out of your boots. Just 'cause you run around with the queen's lackey. hey boyfriend, you think you can undermine my authority?
Logan Thackeray: That's crossing the line, Tervelan. You're hereby relieved of your command. I'm taking you back to Divinity's Reach for questioning. I'd prefer you come peacefully.
Captain Tervelan: Sorry to disappoint you. Gordan! Reginald! Muster the men! One hundred gold to the soldier who silences these two-for good.
<Character name>: He's ordering his Seraph to kill us? Will they do it?
Logan Thackeray: They might. Listen here! Anyone who attacks us will be committing treason! I will show no mercy to anyone who turns against Kryta for gold or who protects a traitor like Tervelan.

During fight:

Captain Tervelan: Get them!
Captain Tervelan: Draw their fire!
Captain Tervelan: Do something! They're on me!
Captain Tervelan: No more! I surrender!

Cinematic after defeating Tervelan:

Captain Tervelan: Enough! I surrender! I'll tell you whatever you want to know.
<Character name>: Did you send Falcon Company into an ambush?
Captain Tervelan: I didn't want to do it. My soldiers were starving, our equipment was ruined. I had to do something or the centaurs would have killed us all.
Captain Tervelan: So, yeah, I sold out Falcon Company so that some politician could say the queen was a bad ruler. But the rest of my command lived.
Captain Tervelan: I got funds to reequip my soldiers, munitions, decent rations, and a promotion. My command's killed more centaurs than the rest of the Seraph combined--thanks to Falcon Company's sacrifice.
Logan Thackeray: Who paid you? Give me a name, now, or by Lyssa's tears, you will never see the outside of a prison cell again.
Captain Tervelan: I...I never met the guy, but he signed his letters "Minister Arton." That's all I know, I swear it.
Logan Thackeray: Arton's one of the queen's advisors.[sic] We need to warn Jennah—and fast. She may be in danger. Tervelan, by my authority as a captain of the queen's Seraph, you're under arrest.
<Character name>: I'll meet you back in Divinity's Reach, Captain.

Talking to NPCs:

Captain Tervelan: You can't put me in prison. I'm a Seraph captain! I did what was right for Kryta. Someone had to do it! Let me go!
Ferocity You're done, Tervelan. Enjoy the rest of your life on the inside of a very small cell.
I did what was best for Kryta. I only did what I had to do!
Talk end option tango.png No, Tervelan. You did what was best for you—not Kryta. I hope you rot in jail.
Dignity Falcon Company deserved better than this, Tervelan. Deborah deserved better.
Don't you understand? This was how we drew enough attention to our cause to get aid! Supplies! Weapons!
Talk end option tango.png You sold them out, Tervelan. That's all I see—a traitor, and a disgrace to the uniform.
Talk end option tango.png Falcon Company demands justice, and so do I.
Logan Thackeray: I'll take Tervelan back to Divinity's Reach and lock him up. Meet me at the palace. We'll warn the queen about Minister Arton together.
Ferocity This guy killed my sister, Logan. He betrayed his own troops!
I know that, and believe me, he'll face justice.
Talk end option tango.png Fine. We do this your way. I'll meet you in Divinity's Reach.
Dignity Tervelan's slippery, and someone in the Ministry has a vested interest in not letting him talk.
No visitor, no Ministers. I'll make sure of it.
Talk end option tango.png Thanks, Captain.
Talk end option tango.png I'm on my way.
Seraph Soldier: Tervelan commanded my unit, but I serve Kryta. My loyalties lie with Logan and the queen.
Talk end option tango.png Glad to have you on our side, soldier. Carry on.

My story[edit]

Rending the Mantle.jpg

I took Harrinton's journal to Captain Thackeray. He's not yet convinced that Tervelan is a traitor, but does think we should question him about the Screaming Falcons.

Tervelan tried to run when we asked him about the Screaming Falcons, but Captain Thackeray and I caught him. He told us that he betrayed the Seraph on the orders of Minister Arton. We have to warn the queen!
