Waine is a human who was once Riannoc's squire when young. When Riannoc went to face Mazdak the Accursed and was overwhelmed, Waine took Caladbolg and fled in fear, leaving Riannoc to die. Since then he joined a group of bandits and later left to fight in tournaments, becoming champion of the ring thanks to Caladbolg.
With the return of the Festival of the Four Winds in 1331 AE, a copy of him was created via Watchknight technology to fight in the Queen's Gauntlet.
