Complete heart (map icon).png

Hearts are indicators of general goals throughout the map. Multiple hearts are scattered across every non-city area and help to provide a sense of purpose as well as a measurement of progress. Goal-oriented players can in this way have a list of things to do, an entry to play, and a level of completion to achieve before moving on to another area. Talking to a scout will mark several empty hearts on the map, and players venturing near a heart will in turn be in the range of a number of dynamic events. A progress bar fills for a heart as players complete events and assist in its area; assistance can range from killing foes to performing other tasks like watering plants or feeding cattle. Once filled, the heart is shown as filled and the player receives a reward of coin, experience, and/or karma. Unlike events themselves, hearts appear to be constant once discovered and will not vanish from the map when a character travels elsewhere.[1]
