I believe "Stomp" was recently alluded too, and was mentioned to knock someone off a cliff. It was a 10tonhammer interview i think. Zolann The IrreverentUser Zolann The Irreverent Mysterious Summoning Stone.png 23:32, 21 May 2010 (UTC)

Elite Skills[edit]

Is there a better way we can reprecent Elite skills at this time? Like an image or something, because it looks a bit crappy with the brackets after. --User:Nautaut (t) 20:36, 9 June 2010 (UTC)

Somebody started it, so I thought i'd just finish it :P It looks better then a long list anyways. --User:Nautaut (t) 12:46, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, well, what do you think of my proposal? xD --Naoroji User Naoroji Golem - Green.jpg 12:46, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
If you did this, then General, Shout and Banners would go above or below it. Since they're not weapon based :3. --User:Nautaut (t) 12:51, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
Look at what I enclosed in the pre-tags. First, Weapon skills (Axe, Greatsword, Hammer, Longbow, Mace, Shield, Sword) and then Other skills (Banner, Elite, General, Healing, Shout). --Naoroji User Naoroji Golem - Green.jpg 13:03, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
Don't spend too much time on that. The final version will be DPL-generated anyway. Chriskang 14:39, 11 June 2010 (UTC)

Red links[edit]

There are quite a few of them. Why? --Super Igor User- Super Igor logo.png 17:26, 24 August 2010 (UTC)

Unknown skills?[edit]

Shouldn't that section be called "Signet skills""? --Emelend 20:30, 24 August 2010 (UTC)

No -- Itay AlonTalk 20:32, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
Why? --Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig.png (Talk) 20:33, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
Because they part of other category, and we don't sure which one right now, but they are. -- Itay AlonTalk 20:36, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
/doh, I see, they're organized by skill slots. --Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig.png (Talk) 20:47, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
From what I can tell, it's actually crudely organized by a mix of skill slot and skill type. There is no slot for banner skills, no slot for shout skills. There is a slot for Utility skills, but that's no where to be found. I mean, Battle Standard is just as much a Banner as it is an Elite skill. I think the list needs to be reworked somehow. --Emelend 01:18, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, just realized that and was about to comment. I'll play with it in a sandbox and see what I can do. --Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig.png (Talk) 21:35, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
I've created two potential formats here and here. --Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig.png (Talk) 22:56, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
Thanks Kyoshi, both of those look better. I prefer the first one right now, though only because it separates the skills into more subcategories. I think eventually we will need to make a GWW-style skill list that includes slot and skill type, allowing for the user to sort the way they want. --Emelend 03:08, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

May I suggest[edit]

For the weapon skill list, atm I find it plain and boring. I have made a better looking version clicky link base on the one of the elemantist skill page for the weapon skill list. So I was wondering if anyone does like it, if so can we change this old boring one we have atm, because in my opinion it is more interesting looking at something with great shape and form then a random list(organized) with just word. Tech Wolf-Talk 02:15, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

It's a temporary list, it will look like GWW's skill lists once we have enough information. -~=Ϛρѧякγ User Sparky, the Tainted guided sig.png (τѧιк) 02:29, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
A few typos but I quite like the look of it. You should copy it over. -- Aspectacle User Aspectacle.png 03:35, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
I'm aware that it is temporary, but for the moment I find it better then plain text, revert it if you dont like it.Tech Wolf-Talk 23:56, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
I think it's related to this so: What about the other proffessions? If we're using that table for Warriors and Elementalists, why not Rangers or Necromancers? Zolann The IrreverentUser Zolann The Irreverent Mysterious Summoning Stone.png 01:15, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
Can you make an alternate version for the non-weapon skills? I think we are separating by slotting (utility, healing, elite, and downed/Death Shroud). It is rather bothersome that only part of the page is in a table. (I might get around to doing it myself, but not tonight.) -~=Ϛρѧякγ User Sparky, the Tainted guided sig.png (τѧιк) 04:36, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
"What about the other proffessions?" I went ahead and made similar tables for these other two professions. "Can you make an alternate version for the non-weapon skills?" I don't know if this table will look good. The general area of the table may end up growing to be too large and dwarf the rest of it. But I will try some out in my sandbox unless tech wolf gets to it first. While I will say that I disagree with a table for this cause, mainly because I dislike the look of it. I will applaud tech wolf for trying something new. Venom20 User Venom20-icon-0602-sm-black.png 13:51, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
Thanks Venom, I was planning to make one for ranger and Necro but i didnt have time for them in the last 2 days. Again as venom said " The general area of the table may end up growing to be too large and dwarf the rest of it" as a result we would need to break often the table every once in a while that a new skill is reveal. I will see if I can make a decent one without beign to bork-borkish. Tech Wolf-Talk 14:26, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
I made a test one because I was bored and didn't think it would be done by anyone else soon. –~=Ϛρѧякγ AHHH! (τѧιк) ←♥– 02:30, 4 November 2010 (UTC)

Order of weapon skill[edit]

Shouldn't weapon skills be ordered the way they appear in the skill bar ? I'm pretty sure that at least in the sword's case, the Sever artery combo is in the first slot. Is it normal or a vandalism or something ? -Alarielle- 16:35, 3 November 2010 (UTC)

There was some arguing over that previously, and I don't know that consensus was ever reached. -- ķ̌ɎǾshĺ User Kyoshi sig.png 18:56, 3 November 2010 (UTC)
We decided that in weapon-specific categories, weapon skills should be categorized in the order that they appear in the skill bar. (Something to that effect.) It's really only relevant in weapon pages because profession pages will be DPL-generated. Speaking of the weapons category, I should categorize all the weapons as weapons? –~=Ϛρѧякγ AHHH! (τѧιк) ←♥– 01:35, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
I'm not entirely sure if that categorization is even necessary. All the weapons are listed on the weapon article, and I don't think we have need for listing them anywhere we? -- ķ̌ɎǾshĺ User Kyoshi sig.png 02:43, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
They're on the article, but not (all) in the category. –~=Ϛρѧякγ AHHH! (τѧιк) ←♥– 02:48, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
I know that, I just don't see the point of the category, though if it's got some function then yeah, I figure it should have all the weapons in it. -- ķ̌ɎǾshĺ User Kyoshi sig.png 02:52, 4 November 2010 (UTC)

/support. I'd also like to mention how we have the "Skill Bar Arrangement" table here, on the Necro and Ranger page, but not on the Ele or Guardian page. Keep on all or remove on all? EiveTalk 04:12, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
Meh, I personally am opposed. EDIT: Remove from all. Aqua (talk|contribs) 04:14, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
if they make it to the list of ranger skills, they should know what a skill bar looks like (Xu Davella 04:22, 28 January 2011 (UTC))

"I thought these were supposed to be in skill bar order..."[edit]

Wait. Of course we want them in skill bar order. Alphabetical order makes no sense on a page like this. Chriskang 10:27, 12 March 2011 (UTC)

^ Unless we can rearrange our weapon skills on the first 5 slots in the future, it makes absolutely no sense to not keep them in skill bar order. - Infinite - talk 14:55, 12 March 2011 (UTC)

I just uploaded some (rough) icons for the greatsword skills, but they aren't showing up on this page. Should they automatically pop in? --Moto Saxon 20:42, 21 March 2011 (UTC)

Change in the latest demo[edit]

Hey guys, in the second part of totalbiscuit's look at GW2 he looks over the longbow skills. The burst skill has been changed to "Combustive Shot" and "Dual Shot" has taken the first slot. I would change it myself, but I'm absolutely exhausted right now and I can't promise I'll be back anytime soon. I'm only 1 minute and 12 seconds in, so there's probably more down the demo. 01:42, 20 August 2011 (UTC)

Downed Skills[edit]

It says here that the middle downed skill is Hammer Toss, with an unknown icon, but it says on the list of downed skills that it is "Avenge Me" and has a skill icon. Which of these is correct? Kormon Balser 18:09, 20 August 2011 (UTC)

So far, we haven't seen Avenge Me, and Hammer Toss looks like it's replaced that slot. Not too sure whether to wait or replace the skills right away. --Xu Davella 18:12, 20 August 2011 (UTC)

question on dual wielding[edit]

So far I've pretty much only seen dual wielding of the same two weapons (sword-sword, axe-axe, etc), but you can dual wield any combination of one handed weapons, right? Because I was looking at some of the (in my mind) more unusual combos like sword-mace or mace-axe and stuff, and I noticed something: a few skills don't seem to take such combinations into account. The most prominent one being dual strike on the off-hand axe. It says "strike with both axes" in the description, but there's nothing that prevents me from having a sword or a mace for a main hand. Now I know that description isn't everything and the game is still in development, but just to check: You CAN equip any combo of any one handed weapons, right? (assuming that you respect the main hand and offhand classifications of course. No wielding shields in main hand and such) 11:55, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

Yes, you are right. And chances are, the description is badly written. --Xu Davella 14:32, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
The descriptions may even originate from a time before wielding two different type of weapons at the same time was even considered. If it does not change, we can drop any dev a tweet to raise attention to the description. :) - Infinite - talk 14:45, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

3rd mace skill[edit]

This page says Pommel Bash while the mace page says it's Obliterate. Can someone find out which page is up to date? Chriskang 19:58, 14 October 2011 (UTC)

Pommel Bash. Source here at 2:07. --Xu Davella 23:52, 14 October 2011 (UTC)

4th Warrior Heal: Aggressive Refrain[edit]

[2] Sorry, no description, icon or anything. Just the skill's name. I categorized it as a Shout based on the name. --Messenger 02:24, 28 October 2011 (UTC)

I removed the shout label; there is no source for it. Please don't assume information on mainspace. :) - Infinite - talk 13:19, 28 October 2011 (UTC)

This Page needs a rework to look like Mesmer page and co. Who could do it quick? I dont know how =) --Wubbbi 23:10, 24 February 2012 (UTC)

Yeah I agree. Guardian need this change too. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk).

There's work going on to make these pages automatically generated. Also, the current appearance of this page is actually more consistent with other pages (like skill lists), but I'm not entirely sure what is "correct" honestly. Eerie Moss 07:43, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

Including Rampage skillbar[edit]

The skillbar for Rampage was added, then removed because "That information is better suited to be on Rampage page". We include the skillbars for kits on List of engineer skills, so why not include the Rampage skillbar here? They are warrior skills, and this page is a list of all warrior skills, so it doesn't make sense not to include them. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 13:45, 20 May 2012 (UTC)

No clue. But it looks like the engineer is the odd one out, since i looked at the weapons for elementalist, and the lich form for necromancer, and neither of those are listed on their skill pages. --JonTheMon 13:53, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
Well, then I'd argue that we should add all of those, as well. Necromancer does have the death shroud skillbars. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 14:27, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
Death shroud is the necromancer's class mechanic. But yes, we should add all those Form skills. Gnarf 14:30, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
yeah the reason why I removed is mostly beacuse if we add rampage then should we also add every other one from skill including banner(which gave skill), elemental weapon, norn shapeshift, and all odd form(moa bird Mes elite)? in a way Moa form gave new skill to an opponent and not to you. I kinda knew I should have made an talk about it, my bad on that. And yeah also I though about the engineer and is oddity. Tech Wolf-Talk 15:04, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
