Small info, but worth noting[edit]

Check my post in Official Forums, mostly about decorations, I might add more info as I have time to watch vids all around. – Valento msg 12:45, 18 June 2015 (UTC)

About claimng[edit]

Do we need lore masteries or can we just get the favor, start the claiming, go to the site and wipe the mobs? --DefinitelyNotHanz (talk) 14:09, 23 October 2015 (UTC)

I'm not totally positive, since I was never around when my guilds claimed guild halls, but I'm pretty sure you only need to have Heart of Thorns and access to the entrance of the guild hall to claim the hall. --Rognik (talk) 11:37, 14 November 2015 (UTC)

Blatant plagiarism[edit]

I was about to give credit here for the additions to the "Gaining a guild hall" section in the same way I have done for the considerable additions to both Lost Precipice and Gilded Hollow.

I want to give credit to a non-A*net source for much of the "Gaining a guild hall" information on this page to Dulfy

However, Mora deleted the information on this page before I had the chance. The main discussion is at Talk:Lost Precipice. I think either the changes to this page should be restored or the information on all three pages should be removed to satisfy Mora's objection, unless someone has a better solution. ~ 1Maven (talk) 18:27, 1 November 2015 (UTC)

The better solution is to write your own guide using your own words. I have wrote the guide no need for the images as the individual pages will cover those. Anzenketh (talk) 19:17, 1 November 2015 (UTC)
The wiki never uses content written on another website, regardless of "giving credit" or whatever, because of conflicting licenses. The wiki is under a Creative Commons copy-left license, which is generally incompatible with any sort of copyright that most site owners like dulfy use. To avoid having to deal with any annoying legal issues, we write our own content. (The only exception is copies of official Anet blog posts, but there's a completely different intent behind that.) —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 23:11, 1 November 2015 (UTC)

Redirect for guild upgrades[edit]

I do not think guild upgrades needs it's own page. But it is a term people will use. Would a redirect to this page work. Anzenketh (talk) 21:48, 2 November 2015 (UTC)

I disagree. Guild upgrades in HoT are a large complex topic, more so than prior to HoT. Including all the information about Guild upgrades in the Guild Hall page would make it too large and unwieldy. ~ 1Maven (talk) 22:05, 2 November 2015 (UTC)
"Large and unwieldy" is not a valid reason for segregating this information into separate pages. We already have long pages like crafting. Guild hall upgrades are an intrinsic part of the guild hall, and I can't think of any reason why they should be on a different page. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 22:10, 2 November 2015 (UTC)
I am not suggesting that every upgrade or every bit of information about a upgrade be on a single page. I am more talking about a blurb that states what upgrades are and generally how to do them basicly a little guide then redirect guild upgrades here. Anzenketh (talk) 22:14, 2 November 2015 (UTC)
I agree a short "blurb" would be useful, although the main description of Guild upgrades remain separate. I suggest that the three concepts of Guild Upgrades, Guild Level, and the Treasury be tied together somehow. ~ 1Maven (talk) 11:04, 3 November 2015 (UTC)
Guild upgrades don't seem like a large complex topic. It's a description of how guild upgrades work. The guild hall already has a list of buildings, which list all the upgrades available and related costs for the building. The only other part to go over is the requirements for each upgrade.--Relyk ~ talk < 13:22, 3 November 2015 (UTC)
Agreed. The current format of 1Maven's guild upgrade page is an unnecessary combination of all the buildings, as is the navbox - splitting this content by building is a natural consequence of the game mechanics. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 15:26, 3 November 2015 (UTC)
I got bold. What do you think of this solution.Anzenketh (talk) 16:35, 3 November 2015 (UTC)

removed trolling[edit]

Why do you feel that the statement "Claiming another guild hall after one has already been claimed will result in the deletion of the first with all improvements without reimbursement.", which was removed from notes is "trolling"? ~ 1Maven (talk) 12:18, 12 November 2015 (UTC)

That statement seems to claim you loose all your improvements when you switch guild halls, which is incorrect. You will keep all your guild improvements. MatHack (talk) 07:05, 13 November 2015 (UTC)
User:Logan3713 replaced that incorrect statement in Guild Hall Explorer#Notes. I'm going to copy it here. ~ 1Maven (talk) 07:44, 13 November 2015 (UTC)

Guild Hall Exploration[edit]

I noticed when I was in my hall that at level 40, that the guild has an option to unlock new areas once it gets to level 40. Nowhere seems to mention this fact, though. Can someone confirm this, and then add it to the page somewhere?--Rognik (talk) 11:42, 14 November 2015 (UTC)

You may be one of the first guilds to reach level 40. Mine is still mid-20s. If your guild unlock one or more new areas then I see no reason why you should not document it. ~ 1Maven (talk) 16:24, 14 November 2015 (UTC)
It hasn't unlocked the zones yet, but it is clearly listed in the upgrade panel. I guess I'll document it and let other guilds mention it once they have it unlocked. --Rognik (talk) 16:48, 15 November 2015 (UTC)
You're right, it was mentioned in one or more of the previous Guild Chat live streams iirc. For the Lost Precipice guild hall, there are 3 areas (that I know of) that will become available via stairway, bridges and the removal of rock barriers: a monastery in the north-east, a secluded hallway and house in the south-west and the upper plateau in the center, featuring 4 large houses and a church. --maeggle talk 05:38, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
I noticed that extra areas of the Mine became available as guild level increased, even before reaching level 40. Although interesting to explore, nothing really useful is there. Will the same be true of the level 40+ new areas? ~ 1Maven (talk) 08:25, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
The extra areas in the Mine come from the Mine Excavation upgrades, not from the guild level. MatHack (talk) 09:04, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
The areas unlocked at Guild Level 40 are located in the north. I went exploring, and I found what looks like a missing staircase to the areas behind there. That's the kind of things I believe that are unlocked with that upgrade. --Rognik (talk) 12:46, 16 November 2015 (UTC)

Ambient dialogue[edit]

Whenever you upgrade a building, the NPC speaks a few lines that is visible in chat window. NPCs also say a random line occasionally, which I believe is affected by how upgraded the building is. Both guild halls share the same dialogue. Should these lines be placed on the NPC page, or the two guild hall pages, or a Guild_hall/dialogue (which is then transcluded on Lost Precipice and Gilded Hollows)? --BryghtShadow (talk) 11:17, 21 December 2015 (UTC)

GH Unlock?[edit]

Does a guild "unlock" each hall when they obtain it, with the ability to switch halls on command? Or does the guild still have to pay the expedition fee and reclaim a hall that they already held? 76.253.2.43 00:33, 26 January 2016 (UTC)

A guild needs only pay the expedition fee once PER guild hall. At the moment (with 2 guild halls) you could pay for 2 expeditions, and then swap between the two for free whenever you wanted. -Darqam (talk) 00:37, 26 January 2016 (UTC)

@ Darqam. Have you personally tried this? Currently our guild has the Guilded Hollow unlocked. I appreciate that we need to pay the expedition fee and do the mission to unlock the Lost Precipice. However, if we don't like it, how easy is it, to switch back to the Guilded Hollow? Stu (talk) 17:12, 11 January 2017 (UTC)

Crystal Throne[edit]

So I looked at all seemingly relevant pages and found nothing on the crystal "throne" in the guild halls, or how they grow every eight levels, or documenting their various appearances. Where would be best to put this? A new section on this page, at Guild upgrade#Guild level, or elsewhere? Konig (talk) 07:13, 3 October 2016 (UTC)

Hm, I'd opt for your second option. Although it wouldn't be wrong to briefly mention the fact that there is a crystal that grows on the main page as well, considering it is somewhat of an USP. Images and the likes could go on the guild upgrade page. User Incarnazeus Signature.pngtalk 09:16, 3 October 2016 (UTC)
It's not really an upgrade since it's only cosmetic (for now). I'll add it to the "Features" section when I get the chance. There's also the crystal node thing inside the vault locations in each guild hall that doesn't seem to do anything either. I can screenshot the latest stage (9th stage at level 64).J.Tesla (talk) 21:56, 3 October 2016 (UTC)

Event Fail[edit]

What about failing the event to claim guild hall? Do we have to pay 100g again or we can simply restart the event without paying anything?

You can retry it however many times you want. the 100g is only the initial cost to "unlock" the opportunity to claim your guild hall if you rather see it that way. -Darqam 16:31, 6 November 2016 (UTC)

Windswept Haven notes[edit]

Unique material - obsidian shards After claiming, all of your old decorations will be in the same exact space according to x y z axis and distance from each other, however, since WH is much lower than my old hall LP, all decor is floating in the sky. You retain all upgrades and decor when switching. I personally recommend a single group of exactly 9 of your best players as only 1 group spawns per round for 5 rounds and then 2 legendary groups at the end but you have plenty of time to handle them one at a time. More than 9 and it spawns multiple enemy groups per round. 99.203.143.34 02:12, 24 September 2017 (UTC)

Also, there is what appears to be a large race track for mounts. Currently the only hall where mounts are usable. 99.203.15.163 01:25, 26 September 2017 (UTC)

PoF Only Accounts[edit]

Can anyone verify that PoF-only accounts have the access listed on this page? I've heard a few people complain about how guild halls are HoT content and I'm wondering if it's bugged or just misinformation. Continuum Splat (talk) 17:29, 22 July 2018 (UTC)

Feedback 2019/09/05[edit]

Not sure what would be the best way to go about it, but the info in the section about claiming guild halls doesn't reflect the Windswept Haven... --73.254.134.36 05:53, 6 September 2019 (UTC)

I've had a go at fixing the article. Feel free to feed back to me here if I've missed anything. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 06:27, 6 September 2019 (UTC)
