Dialogue[edit]
- At Trader's Forum (sylvari)
During Dragon Bash: Celebration
- Another festivalgoer, I presume. I'm curious, are you for or against Dragon Bash?
- Ah, a free spirit. It must be so liberating to be one. Roardina dragged me away from my tomes to be here, then she scooted off to protest the festival. It's so like her.
- *sigh* My dearest, my love. My storm of laughter, the acrobat in the middle of my studious life. She confuses me and excites me all once.[sic] She's the reason I'm here.
- She sounds fun. Good-bye.
Roardina? A friend of yours?
- Good-bye.
I'm for it. We aren't praising the dragons; we're bashing them.
- dragons first, then celebrate.
- A pragmatic approach. I surmise you are the kind of person who eats balanced meals and always gets a good night's sleep. Not at all like my Roardina. I must confess, I'm a little envious.
- Roardina? (Same as "Roardina? A friend of yours?")
- Good-bye.
I don't like it. We should kill the - I'm still making up my mind.
During Dragon Bash: Effigy Ceremony
- It's so terrible, isn't it? The violence. The destruction. I've been trying to find an official report, but the Lionguard haven't been forthcoming.
- I hear there was an electrocution and an attack by shadowy figures. At least my Roardina is safe. It's a small solace, but one I can wrap my arms around at night.
- Good-bye.
What happened?
- Take care.
- At Trader's Forum (human)
During Dragon Bash: Celebration
- Never thought I'd see something inspired by the old Canthan dragon festival, especially with the Elder Dragons on the rise. But here we are.
- Well, I live in Lion's Arch. It seems like every few months the whole town changes for some party or event.
- I'm torn. I don't like the dragons, but my grandma–she was from Cantha. She remembered the old festival. She wanted to see this one, but Grenth took her last month.
- You have my sympathies.
I notice you didn't answer my question.
- Sounds like a mess. Take care.
What do you think of the festival?
- Good-bye.
During Dragon Bash: Effigy Ceremony
- Did you see what happened? I hope they find out who did this and shove them off the gangplank!
- What happened?
- I'll be going now.
- At the Grand Piazza
During Dragon Bash: Celebration
- Dragon Ball, moa races, all the food and drink from around Tyria. Leave it to the pirates to outmoot a moot!
- Uh, yeah! Party! Woo!
During Dragon Bash: Effigy Ceremony
- These Lionguard couldn't find their own boots with a map, a compass, and a guide. Give me a week, and I'll find out who struck down the councillors.
- One of the effigies attacked the councillors. Three of them were gravely injured. And the Lionguard just ran around like scared little rabbits.
- What makes you think it wasn't an accident?
- Let's hope they do.
Back up. What happened?
- I believe you.
- At Fort Marriner
During Dragon Bash: Celebration
- Dragon Bash is amazing, isn't it? When I heard it was coming, I had my servants prepare my guest home here.
- I would've enjoyed it more if it was in Beetletun. I could walk out on my balcony and see the whole thing.
- I'm here for the fireworks and bonfires at night. Oh, and the big presentation. That should be any day now.
- Thanks. Have fun.
What are you here for?
- I'll have to check it out. Thanks.
Tell me more about Dragon Bash.
- Sounds great. Have fun.
During Dragon Bash: Effigy Ceremony
- It's terrible, isn't it? All that destruction and chaos? And the councillors. I heard some of them were injured.
- People running, Lionguard rushing around. Bodies. I saw bodies. Those poor councillors. They were rushed to Fort Marriner. I haven't heard anything about their condition.
- I see.
Did you see anything?
- Let's hope they pull through.
