I've been with the Astral Ward for a while and I still can't believe what I'm seeing. I knew that the wizards created fractals to observe the circumstances of our actions, but to see them HERE. In Tyria. Realized. It should be a scientist's dream, but...

I'm with Lyhr and Frode at Droknar's Forge today. Lyhr is in shock. He didn't realize this was a fractal. His home. Dwarves who aren't made of stone... Why would Isgarren want to study this, and not tell him? How long as[sic] this fractal been active? I have so many questions... There aren't many left in the "real world." I don't know if this is a marvel or a miracle, but Lyhr isn't thrilled.

I wonder how it must be to live in a false reality, yet still believe you actually exist. But...they DO actually exist. At least they do now. There are all sorts of moral implications that I can barely fathom...

I wonder if Lyhr can remember anything about his home. I know, I know...forgetting is a necessary consequence. But it's so permanent. Dagda described it to me as "making room for your new consciousness," and that the old you is just put on a lower shelf. It doesn't totally stifle the old you, it just makes it harder to access. Eventually, though...you forget it all. You're reaching for thoughts that are barely there.

He's certainly in shock. Heartbroken, even. It's almost a little frantic, the way he stomps around. As if he's looking for something that isn't here. Or someone, maybe... I wonder if he even knows who or what he searches for.

When I think on it, there are some things I wish I could forget... Though, I'd never want to forget Plikk's Petri Dish Delight. Eating while I snooped on the Inquest lab, just across the platform. It was a different time back then.

This is the forge Isgarren wanted to hide away... Which, seeing Lyhr confused and hurting, makes more sense to me now. Isgarren was sparing him, in a way. His people are gone. This version of reality isn't feasible. I can see that it's making him struggle.

It's impressive that the dwarves were able to use the mountain like this... The asura could have learned a thing or two from them when we were still underground. It's still a little strange to see dwarves in the flesh though. I wonder what will happen to them once we settle this war against the Kryptis... IF we settle it, I suppose.

These fractals are ripe with learning opportunities I never would have gotten if Uenno and Mabon didn't find me. This place is...fascinating. If the council learned about any of this, ESPECIALLY the wizards' ability to create fractals, they'd try to quarantine the entire region. Rip it apart, piece by piece. I suppose that's why the wizards have kept this all a secret for so long. Once less distraction from the Elder Dragons.

Lore discrepancy:

Although these journal entries talk about Lyhr being unaware of Droknar's Light fractal being made, in Fragment of Lyhr's Journal, Lyhr writes about how Dagda invited him to its creation in 1127 AE.
