— Guildwars2.com Drunken Brawler

Drunken Brawlers specialize in melee combat. Their continuous alcohol consumption allows them to hit harder and absorb mammoth amounts of damage at the cost of their accuracy. As a soldier profession, drunken brawlers wear heavy armor.

Abilities[edit]

Drunken level is the drunken brawler profession's unique mechanic. Certain skills will increase the drunken level resulting in an increased damage output and a higher resistance to incoming damage at the cost of an increased miss chance on attacks. Drunken level has three tiers: Tipsy, Drunk and Paralytic - each tier increases the granted effects, and can also provide other benefits like attack and movement speed. Progress on the drunken level bar will last a certain amount of time before the drunken brawler gradually becomes sober - to upkeep drunken level, the drunken brawler must maintain the usage of Brews and various other skills.

Drunken level effects
Drunken level begins at sober with no added effects. Each tier adds 5% increased outgoing damage, 5% reduced incoming damage and 10% miss chance up to a maximum of 15%, 15% and 30% respectively at tier 3(paralytic).

The drunken brawler is the only profession that does not have access to range weapons. Instead they are particularly deadly with melee weaponry and have access to shout skills and outbursts.

To counteract the damage resistance gained from drunken level, drunken brawlers have less base health than warriors.
