Notes[edit]

  • Bowl of Sweet and Spicy Butternut Squash Soup (usually shortened to BoSaSBnSS or Butternut Soup) is by far the most expensive food to purchase, but is the only top tier food with ferocity as well as power. While training, it may be in your best interests to use budget food instead, particularly the +100 Power foods.
  • When using the two +100 budget foods, use Plate of Truffle Steak if you are not capped on critical chance (particularly if you are not in a subgroup with a druid), and use Plate of Orrian Steak Frittes when you are capped on critical chance.
  • Tin of Fruitcake and Superior Sharpening Stones give the same amount of stats, however, Tin of Fruitcake is far more affordable. It is a Wintersday festival food, so be sure to buy a large supply during the festival when it is cheapest. Other budget utilities do not offer as much stat versus cost, so it is pretty much not worth it to use other budget utilities.
  • Steamed Red Dumpling can be used as a budget food in fights with mobs that die, such as Sabetha and Xera if you have cleave (meaning it is not recommended for d/d thieves). Record runners sometimes swap in this food midfight during KC for extra burst during burn phases, but it is not worth it to swap in and out with BoSaSBnS as a regular player. This food gives no stats on single boss encounters like Cairn.

Notes[edit]

  • Fried Golden Dumpling is a good crutch if you're not comfortable with your boon duration as a new chrono. However, Chaos Chronos use a trait that increases boon duration increase per boon on them, which overcaps boon duration on a chrono. Therefore high level chronos use BoSaSBnSS because they do not need extra concentration, and can try to mildly improve their dps with dps food.
  • If you are confident in your boon duration while playing chaos chrono and need a budget food, refer to the above Budget Power food options.

Sharpening Skull.pngSharpening Skull Reviving an ally grants Feline Fury to both you and your revived ally.

+30% Magic Find

Notes[edit]

  • There's not really a budget healing food, as the outgoing healing effectiveness is the more important stat that the food gives, and no other food gives outgoing healing effectiveness. Rice balls are usually quite cheap as there's a huge supply of them put out new Lunar New Year. Buy enough to last the year during the festival, as this is when it is cheapest.
  • Sharpening Skull as a budget healer's food is particularly great on Auramancer and Blood Scourge healers that have quick AoE revive. Great for groups that are terrible at staying alive. Downing IS a dps increase!! (It's still not). It's also VERY good for increasing an opening burst by reviving a player right before the fight starts. Unlike boons, this buff is not removed at the start of a fight. +75 to all core stats and druid juice? Hell yea.
