Resealing the Bloody Prince is a meta event that occurs in an instance inside of the Nolani Academy Ruins within the Black Citadel. In order to enter the instance, players must first acquire a Mini Candy-Corn Elemental, or party with someone else who has. It serves as the finale to the Blood and Madness story line.

Mail[edit]

Magister Tassi

We Need Live Candy Corn! We know the Bloody Prince hates candy corn, but we need a purer version of the stuff in order to weaponize it. A live candy corn elemental—even a miniature one—would do the trick. You can earn one by participating in the Mad Realm happenings. The golem I provided will let you check in with me for progress updates. Good luck!

Magister Tassi

Return to the Ruins <Character name>, My sensors indicate you have successfully acquired a living candy-corn elemental. This is fantastic news for our joint effort. Return to me at the Nolani Ruins near the Black Citadel, and be sure to bring your elemental with you. With your elemental and my new prototype candy-energy rifle, we can seal the reliquary and prevent the Bloody Prince from waging his violent campaign on our plane of existence.

Dialogue[edit]

When Tassi collects your Mini Candy-Corn Elementals essence
Magister Tassi: I hate it when they make that noise. Don't worry. Your contribution is merely dazed. It'll be up and ambulatory in no time.
Magister Tassi: The glaze gun is ready. Our volunteers have provided us with enough essence to counter whatever the Bloody Prince throws at us.
Magister Tassi: Now comes the hard part. I imagine the Bloody Prince will likely reappear once he detects us trying to seal the reliquary from this side.
Magister Tassi: And he won't be jovial about it, either. Let me know when you're ready.
Speaking to Tassi
The Candy Energ-o-scillator is at full capacity, thanks to your elemental. When you're ready, I'll activate the glaze gun and seal the Bloody Prince in his reliquary.
Talk combat option tango.png I'm ready. Let's go!
Talk more option tango.png What's about to happen?
I will coat the reliquary with a special candy essence. It should lock down the box and keep the Bloody Prince from establishing a foothold in our plane. Assuming we live.
Talk combat option tango.png Let's teach that brat a lesson.
Talk more option tango.png Just how much danger will we be in?
I calculated a ninety-four percent likelihood that the Bloody Prince will attempt to stop us. And by stop us, I mean grind us into paste.
Talk combat option tango.png Let's see him try.
Talk more option tango.png Any good news, Tassi?
Since the candy essence will weaken the Bloody Prince's powers. He'll flounder against anyone covered in it. I'll...well, glaze you. You hold him off as I cover the reliquary.
Talk combat option tango.png I've been covered in worse. Ready when you are.
Talk more option tango.png You sure this will work?
Of course. Well, I'm fairly positive. I've never tested it, and there's nothing in the archives about candy-based weaponry efficiency, but I'm sure the idea is sound.
Talk combat option tango.png I'm ready to test your theory and stop the Bloody Prince.
Talk end option tango.png Uh, I need to go.
Talk end option tango.png I need think about this.
Talk end option tango.png Uh, I'm leaving.
Talk end option tango.png Hold on a moment.
Talk more option tango.png What's the glaze gun?
Oh, this. It's a candy essence dispersal nozzle connected to the Energ-o-scillator. It's a bit slapdash, but it should cover the reliquary with supercharged candy essence.
Talk combat option tango.png Fire it up, Tassi.
Talk more option tango.png That's it? Sounds simple. (Same as "I calculate a ninety-four percent likelihood...")
Talk more option tango.png What did you do to my elemental? I worked hard for that!
Don't fret; it's merely drained. Your new companion will be awake and nominal in a little while. Right now, we must deal with this Bloody Prince.
Talk combat option tango.png Ready when you are.
Talk more option tango.png When we do, what'll happen? (Same as "I will coat the reliquary...")
Talk more option tango.png What's the glaze gun? (Same as "Oh, this. It's a candy essence...")
Talk end option tango.png I need a moment.
Talk end option tango.png I need a minute.
Preparing for action
Magister Tassi: If I were Vigil, I'd say stand firm, because it's about to get violent. As long as the candy stream holds up we should be fine.
Magister Tassi: Ready? Here we go.
When Tassi starts glazing the reliquary
Magister Tassi: Sensors are reading a massive surge from the Mad Realm coming this way!
Bloody Prince Thorn: You again! Such tiny, weak things! I know what you're doing. You think you can lock me in that box? I'll burn your bones!
Magister Tassi: Oh, fantastic. I've doomed us all. Too late to turn back now. Let's glaze!
Bloody Prince Thorn: He put me in a box to die. Just for killing the livery maids. And the jester. And those villagers. Oh, they burned so brightly...
Random comments during the fight
  • Magister Tassi: Take that! I meant the prince. Not you. You're doing wonderfully.
  • Magister Tassi: So, what did you do today? Oh nothing. Just risked my life firing a stream of magic sugar at vengeful spirit.
  • Magister Tassi: I'm so sorry about this. The glaze should bestow some newfound advantages against the prince. Just don't eat any of it.
  • Magister Tassi: See how you like THIS trick!
  • Magister Tassi: This is so embarrassing. I don't want to die covered in glaze.
  • Bloody Prince Thorn: Bloody Prince Thorn says, "Surprise!"
  • Bloody Prince Thorn: "You're not mad enough. You're just angry," he said, stuffing candy corn in my mouth. And then he sealed me in.
  • Bloody Prince Thorn: He doesn't hear the music. He doesn't hear what symphony murder makes. How pure it is.
  • Bloody Prince Thorn: Let me show him I'm stronger. Why won't you let me? You're just like him!
When Bloody Prince is beaten
Bloody Prince Thorn: No. No! Don't send me back. I swear, when I get out, I'll come for you. I'll stalk you, burn your cities, eat your flesh. I'll tear down your world!
Magister Tassi: Did that work? Is he really in there? Let me look. Yes. The Bloody Prince's energy signature is relegated to the reliquary.
Magister Tassi: He's the Mad Realm's problem now. I can't help but wonder, though... He got out of the box once before. Could he do it again?
Magister Tassi: The decay on the candy essence is so slight, but it's noticeable.
Magister Tassi: I'm afraid this seal won't hold forever. He'll be back. And I can only imagine what he'll be like then.
Magister Tassi: It's a shame. The Bloody Prince could have told us so much about his father and his rule. He could have given us an insight lost to history.
Magister Tassi: Then again, he was a vicious monster who had to be put down by his own father. I think that speaks volumes already.
Magister Tassi: This will make for some interesting articles. As soon as I get unglazed. Ugh. This cleaning bill will be hard to explain to the Priory.
Speaking to Tassi after defeating the Bloody Prince
Excelsior! I can barely postulate what would've transpired if we didn't drive back the Bloody Prince. You have my thanks.
Talk more option tango.png Where's the Bloody Prince now?
All sings point to him being relegated to the Mad Realm. As long as the glaze holds on the reliquary, the Bloody Prince won't be able to use the box as his gateway to our plane.
Talk more option tango.png Can he get out?
Feasible. The Bloody Prince was tied to that reliquary, so it's likely the only gateway between the Mad Realm and here.
Talk back option tango.png I have another question.
Considering we staved off a wicked tyrant, I say we have some free time. Inquire away.
Talk more option tango.png Where's the Bloody Prince now? (Same as "All signs point to him...")
Talk more option tango.png Will the glaze hold? (Same as "Yes, and no. Yes, the magibind properties...")
Talk more option tango.png What will you do now? (Same as "Obviously document all of this...")
Talk more option tango.png So, the glaze...any side effects? (Same as "It's merely magicharged candy...")
Talk end option tango.png That's enough for now.
Talk end option tango.png Good-bye.
Talk end option tango.png Good to know. Good-bye.
Talk more option tango.png Will the glaze hold him?
Yes, and no. Yes, the magibind properties will contain the Bloody Prince, but only as long as the glaze doesn't decay. Since it's organic, it eventually will.
Talk more option tango.png Can't you just keep glazing it?
There's only so much special candy essence in the world. Even if I synthesize a replacement compound, it wouldn't be as potent.
Talk back option tango.png I have another question. (Same as "Considering we staved off...")
Talk end option tango.png Good luck.
Talk end option tango.png Time to go.
Talk more option tango.png What will you do now?
Obviously document all of this. Let's see that snotty Steward Gixx look down on my pursuits now. A chapter of the Mad King's story. I can barely believe it.
Talk more option tango.png Gixx doesn't care for your research?
He thinks the Mad King is a foolish endeavor, a game for children and drunkards. He is history, a dark and wild history unique in the world. It makes my head spin pondering it.
Talk back option tango.png I have another question. (Same as "Considering we staved off...")
Talk end option tango.png Enjoy your research.
Talk end option tango.png Good bye.
Talk more option tango.png So, this glaze... Are there any side effects?
It's merely magicharged candy. I wouldn't eat it...or stand too close to open fire. I suspect you'll glow in the dark and then explode. Or maybe it's the other way around.
Talk more option tango.png Wait, I'm a bomb?
Only if you consume it. Externally, it's safe. There might be some slight stickiness. I'd have a bath before engaging with the public.
Talk back option tango.png I have another question. (Same as "Considering we staved off...")
Talk end option tango.png I'll do that.
Talk end option tango.png I need to go.
Talk end option tango.png Take care.
