Drop table[edit]

I think this is an interesting item to keep an eye on. According to the differences in price one would seem to break even when you get 1 Ornamental Golden Trophy every 79,9 Divine Lucky Envelope. (Gold coin 88 Silver coin 88 Copper coin/ 11 Silver coin 12 Copper coin) Anyone else wanna keep a droptable? Saga[TSD] | talk 01:01, 12 February 2015 (UTC)

Lucky Envelopes are affected by your magic find, and since we can't account for exactly how MF works, we wouldn't be able to make any firm conclusions based on drop data. So it doesn't make sense to do it. 02:11, 12 February 2015 (UTC) The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dr ishmael (talkcontribs).
I thought Isiah Cartwright pretty precisely explained that the chance of getting a rare item is multiplied with MF. So if you get one ornamental trophy for every 50 envelopes and your MF is 100% then the unaffected droprate would be 1/100. It's not exactly rocket science ... or am I completely wrong? - Manassas (talk) 13:59, 18 February 2015 (UTC)
We don't really need firm conclusions, a ballpark would suffice. Obviously people would like a general idea of how rare the desirable items are, like in orders of magnitude. Whether it takes tens, hundreds, or thousands of attempts on average is still useful information even with variables in the mix. 76.253.2.43 06:55, 19 February 2015 (UTC)
You can only achieve this if you have a high number of data with a somewhat constant MF value. But I would expect the overall distribution to be similar to Little Lucky Envelopes (that data is based on 2500 opened envelopes). poke | talk 07:44, 19 February 2015 (UTC)

Drop pattern[edit]

Maybe it's just me, but seems like each Divine Lucky Envelope drops:

  • <random item>
  • 1 Golden Monkey Figurine
  • <x> Essence of Luck (of a randomly chosen rarity)

--BramStoker (talk, contribs) 23:22, 28 January 2016 (UTC)

That's what the drop rate on the page says already. Except you forgot the occasional Ornamental Golden Trophy, which is worth 10x as much as the monkey --Gimmethegepgun (talk) 03:20, 29 January 2016 (UTC)

new drop[edit]

I got a Golden Rooster figure drop, worth 88 silver 88 copper Golden Rooster Figurine The preceding unsigned comment was added by Nfrenchfry (talkcontribs).

Thanks for the feedback! I've added it to the article. —Ventriloquist 23:33, 17 January 2017 (UTC)

Is there a drop research page for this?[edit]

Just checking before I burn mine. Daddicus (talk) 00:35, 22 February 2018 (UTC)

It would appear we don't have one. Feel free to start one! =) - Doodleplex 02:29, 22 February 2018 (UTC)
I don't actually know how. Daddicus (talk) 01:44, 23 February 2018 (UTC)
These things are affected by magic find and anyone that is going to go through the trouble of recording the drops is probably also going to boost his magic find as high as possible, which will alter the drop table to some degree. Since we only have a general idea of the mechanics of magic find, it makes it difficult to account for that. SarielV 20 x 20px 17:09, 23 February 2018 (UTC)
Ah, good point. I take my suggestion off the table. Daddicus (talk) 02:58, 24 February 2018 (UTC)
I think it is still a valid point if you have to enter your mf you have while opening. It even helps further because you clould tell when common or uncommon items stop to drop! --Keldor (talk) 13:58, 10 February 2021 (UTC)

Ingame preview vs Fixed drop categories[edit]

I'm not happy with mirroring the ingame preview image, see this edit. The information about the junk drop, stating that one gets at least 88 silver back; as well as that luck always drops is essential for this item. Should this be added to the notes or should we keep the previous contents style. --Tolkyria (talk) 23:00, 22 January 2019 (UTC)

Ingame preview

--Tolkyria (talk) 15:32, 23 January 2019 (UTC)

I agree with your intention to revert Mith's edits. I wouldn't bother listing the preview items in a collapsible section - I've uploaded a screenshot of the preview window.
It's unclear to me where you got the item ranges from, e.g. I can only see the Golden Boar Figurine (88,88) in the preview window once. Can you clarify where these are from? Otherwise I think my edit should satisfy both parties. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 20:50, 23 January 2019 (UTC)
The screenshot is enough for me, the collapsible section was just a suggestion to somehow mirror the ingame preview.
Regarding the drop rates, see here. They just got copied from the last year. However I remember that in the last years I sometimes ended up with 17x Golden Dog Figurine, etc... (88 Silver coin 88 Copper coin) upon opening 16 Divine Lucky Envelope. So if they haven't changed anything I think it's still possible to gain it twice. --Tolkyria (talk) 21:01, 23 January 2019 (UTC)
Okay I was watching closely and the first envelope I bought on my alt account contained 10 Essence of Luck (fine), which isn't on the list. Might be worth re-verifying the quantities, or maybe not. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 21:03, 23 January 2019 (UTC)
I just dropped two Golden Boar Figurine. The ranges seem to be correct. --Tolkyria (talk) 21:06, 23 January 2019 (UTC)
Edit: Upon opening 200+, the drop ranges are the same, except I managed to drop 1 exotic essence of luck. --Tolkyria (talk) 21:31, 23 January 2019 (UTC)

Feedback 2019/01/23[edit]

The PRismatic Rockets and Draketails can also be used to advance the Firework Festival and Light up the Sky Achievements

Limit 8[edit]

The limit is 8 (with just gold), not 16 as indicated. I didn't know what verification means (when not verified), though, so I didn't change the entry. Daddicus (talk) 02:22, 15 January 2020 (UTC)

Thanks, edited. --BuffsEverywhere (talk) 07:01, 15 January 2020 (UTC)
Thanks. I figured it out today, too (8+8). Daddicus (talk) 01:21, 16 January 2020 (UTC)
The limit of 8 on tokens of the celestial champion is also a hard daily limit. A more clear note may be useful so that people spend them all before the event ends instead of accruing a bunch to spend all at once... like I was planning to do. Aro User Aro Signature Logo.gif 13:19, 18 January 2020 (UTC)
I expanded the note, I hope it is clearer now. —Kvothe (talk) 16:14, 18 January 2020 (UTC)

Feedback 2020/01/24[edit]

Lucky New Year Firework were not to be found in this year's Divine envelopes. I opened 5000 envelopes, kept real close track of the drops. I got ZERO of 'em. Variance would have given me at least a few dozen. -- Disconnect (talk) 20:10, 24 January 2020 (UTC)

Odd, I received lots and lots of Lucky New Year Fireworks. Maybe you have just a really odd (un)Lucky streak? They would not remove them without adjusting the recipes they are used in (for previous Lunar New Year backpacks). Inculpatus cedo (talk) 23:28, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
