Defeat the Inquest to prevent them from capturing the Ley-Energy Coalescence is a level 42, 45, or 50 event that occurs on the hill southeast of Soot Road Waypoint, on the hill southeast of Refuge Sanctum Waypoint, or on the hill northwest of Brandview Waypoint.

This event spawns 15 minutes after the previous occurrence after the relevant NPCs are escorted to its location. The consortium and Durmand Priory research teams will randomly choose from any of the possible locations, causing either two events against the inquest or a larger event with a three-way battle. The NPCs leading each party are determined and do not need player assistance, but will take a safe route with no hostile enemies which may increase the length of the escort phase. The random inquest enemies and coalescence scale depending on the number of players.

The Consortium (Manager Flinzz) escort event starts at the The Last Whiskey Bar Waypoint, while the Priory (Magister Keadin) escort event starts at Refuge Sanctum Waypoint. A member of each party, Consortium Representative Trichel and Priory Explorer Willis, will remain at the camps to guide players towards the location their leader chose to investigate.

Objectives[edit]

  • Inquest Morale
  • Event bar.jpg Event swords (tango icon).png
  • Coalescence Proximity to Inquest Collector
  • Event bar empty2.jpg
  • Coalescence dissipates in x/7:00

The tethered coalescence will drop raw Ley Energy bundles during the event which enemy Inquest, Consortium and/or Priory NPCs, and players may carry back to the Ley Capacitors to pull the coalescence closer to their camp. If the Inquest manage to capture the coalescence the event will fail, but if the Priory or Consortium pull it, the event will continue until the Inquest morale bar is emptied. Once the morale bar reaches ~50% the Inquest waves come with a higher number of mobs and super-fast golems for running Ley Energy. One strategy is to turn in enough Ley Energy to pull the coalescence close to the Priory and/or Consortium camp and then abandon collection in order to quickly defeat the Inquest.

Event success requires only that Inquest morale is zero, not any Ley Energy collected. Note: The second event bar is informational, letting players know how close Ley Energy is to the Inquest Ley Capacitor and thus how quickly the golems may pull the tethered coalescence to their camp.
