Blossoming Aura

Envelop target friend or foe with energy from the Mists. The energy explodes outward after a short delay or when manually detonated, granting barrier to nearby allies. The amount of barrier granted increases over time. If targeting an enemy, the aura also deals damage over time, and it does additional damage when the aura explodes based on how long the aura lasts.

  • Blossoming Aura was added to the game.
  • This skill can now target allies.
  • The amount of bonus barrier and damage granted by this skill are no longer tied to scepter auto-attacks; instead, barrier and damage increase the longer the aura is placed on the target. The aura can be detonated early with the new follow-up skill, Detonate Blossoming Aura.
  • Increased the cooldown from 5 seconds to 8 seconds in PvE and from 7 seconds to 8 seconds in WvW and PvP.
  • Reduced the healing power coefficient from 1.0 to 0.3 in PvE and WvW and from 1.0 to 0.4 in PvP.
  • Increased the barrier per pulse from 20% to 33% in PvP only.
  • Added a 0.25-second cooldown to Detonate Blossoming Aura when Blossoming Aura is used.

Envelop target foe with energy from the Mists that deals damage over time. The energy explodes outward after a short delay, damaging the enemy and granting barrier to nearby allies. Striking the enemy with scepter autoattacks causes the final effect to be stronger.
