Web developer, early 40s, married, Rastafarian, gamer, left-wing liberal, San Franciscian, multi-racial.

Game Play

I'm a PvE player. Not interested in PvP, only marginal interest in WvW. Mostly run dungeons. Also love to explore and click on everything - even in places I've already been. Love making screenshots. Used to be a 3D artist (my tools are about 8 years out of date).

I run what I call "balanced" builds. That means I see it as important (for me) to do good damage AND have good mitigation. Able to sometimes tank (be tanky), but not try to make an actual tank. Enough to survive 1 or 2 'major boss hits'. I am always seeking that fine point in a build that lets me sneak in more damage than the glass canon, without giving up on survival. I've found it a few times on classes where the popular glass canon build is either less ideal than it thinks, or often played poorly. But most of the time, this quest just lets me squeeze out the most my balanced build can get to - without worrying about faceplanting.

I was also a GW1 player, since 2005. I've been in a guild there since that time as well, but don't even know the name of it, as I was never a 'real' member.

Here in GW2, I founded and currently co-GM the guild 'Justice and Honor' [9] on the Tarnished Coast server [10]. Started about 2 minutes into Headstart. We are -always- recruiting people looking to do dungeons in a polite / swear free atmosphere where you can bring whatever class you desire and we're open to helping you improve your gameplay with friendly tips or answers to questions rather than pushing anything on you.
