Talk:Tequatl
Move suggestion[edit]
I disagree with the move because I don't think that redirects should ever take priority for the primary page over an actual article. The dragon is called Tequatl the Sunless and the achievement category Tequatl, it is unambiguous and both have links to the other one, so why disambiguate?
Some people using one name as a shortcut for something else should not be a sufficient reason. People often call Claw of Jormag just Jormag and we don't make it a redirect either. Bazaar of the Four Winds is also quite a long name like Tequatl the Sunless, yet it doesn't have shorthand version. Sky Pirates and Secret of Southsun are both achievement categories that could just as easily be used as shortcuts for the respective releases but they aren't. If I want to get to a list of virtues or illusions, Virtues and Illusions don't get me there either. I use AP and Forge as shortcuts for Achievement and Mystic Forge, but if they, say, added a skill called Forge, of course it should describe that instead. 10:09, 18 September 2013 (UTC)
- (I realize the move suggestion has been removed, I'm commenting on it anyway.) Calling the Claw of Jormag "Jormag" is completely incorrect, though - Jormag is the elder dragon, the Claw is just a lieutenant, so those two pages should be exactly where they are. In this case "Tequatl" is a short form of Tequatl the Sunless, but they both refer to the same entity. However, I agree with you that the pages should remain where they are - creating a disambiguation wouldn't solve the problem of people going to "Tequatl" looking for the dragon: they would still have an additional click from the disambiguation page. —Dr Ishmael 12:42, 18 September 2013 (UTC)
After Rising[edit]
Will these achievements still be available for completion after the LS? It looks like it, 'cause it's in the Bosses category & not in the LS one. —Ventriloquist (talk) 15:43, 19 September 2013 (UTC)
- Read your second second sentence again, you already answered yourself. —Dr Ishmael 15:45, 19 September 2013 (UTC)
- Hah, guess you're right! —Ventriloquist (talk) 19:09, 19 September 2013 (UTC)
Secret Achievement[edit]
Theres a secret achievement for Tequatl. Should we list it here?
Stay Dry, Stay Alive : Avoid Tequatl's tidal wave with the help of a jump pad. |

- Well, thats the thing. When does Tequatl even use the Tidal Wave maneuver? In the three kills I've seen, it's never used that move once. Was it removed or just never added? And is it even achievable? If so, I don't think it should be added, unless as trivia. --Vaught (talk) 21:42, 19 September 2013 (UTC)
He uses it if you fail to defend the megalaser, and it's frigging awesome! |
--Fowk (talk) 21:45, 19 September 2013 (UTC)
- That would explain it. We've never had that happen, so that's why we never saw it. If more people report this achievement, then I don't see why we shouldn't add it. --Vaught (talk) 21:47, 19 September 2013 (UTC)
- I'd say the screenshot is evidence enough for adding it now. 21:49, 19 September 2013 (UTC)

Above the waves[edit]
Above the waves achievement not working for a while now. You evade, and evade, different days, different chars and nothing.
The waves during the stomps in first phase count as does the wave that accompanies Tequatl's departure from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd phases. Separ (talk) 16:15, 8 August 2021 (UTC)
"I Found It!" achievement[edit]
Does interacting with the chest yield any loot? Or does it just trigger the achievement only? --115.134.2.52 19:27, 13 January 2016 (UTC)
