Clickability[edit]

I really don't know what that archived. It is just a link to the file. That is imo not really nesseccary. The mouse-over text on the other hand was quite a nice touch. So I am for reverting to the last version. - Yandere Talk to me... 22:33, 17 August 2012 (UTC)

Well, this is also ok :P - Yandere Talk to me... 22:42, 17 August 2012 (UTC)

Big chunk[edit]

I don't think this is anywhere on the wiki yet. Asuran manifesto SarielV 20 x 20px 14:47, 31 August 2016 (UTC)

All the scripts around Tyria[edit]

I don't know if it can belong here or not but I thought it would be really nice to add on the page the different extracts engraved all around the world. One of the most well known is that "asura manifesto" but it's surely not the only one. It would had more lore/more credibility to the universe if we have a page referencing them. --Inquest Overseer Ezrielia (talk) 15:56, 3 September 2019 (UTC)

That sounds like a great idea. Do you know if there is a compilation of them anywhere? Santax (talk · contribs) 16:02, 3 September 2019 (UTC)
Not even close to an exhaustive list by any means, but I've documented a couple of small examples on my personal writing systems page. —Idris User Idris signature.png 16:09, 3 September 2019 (UTC) Edit: Or maybe this isn't helpful, nvm —Idris User Idris signature.png 01:16, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
I've decrypted for a long time now the asuran consoles and started working on rata novan ones but they are quite hard, some letters are exaggerated and some just look like a separator. Here's my translation so far: https://imgur.com/xarkkPj and https://imgur.com/a/MsRBYzH. The second omnipresent text on any stone gate/ stone block is the asuran manifesto said in a section above. Note that the asuran console is what helped the original posted to crack the code of asuran script. I expected to find interesting things at the floating holographic archives in rata sum, but all the projections are just the same things with different orientations/arrangements. So for me the two main places that still have a ton of interesting lore in waiting of decrypting are Rata Novus consoles/panels even the ones in sandswept isles and crucible of eternity scipts. BTW would be very happy if any other explorer can help me fixing the wrong words/letters I have in my translation.--Inquest Overseer Ezrielia (talk) 20:41, 3 September 2019 (UTC)
In the first image, it says "HEARTRATE" instead of "X|EARTRATE" (the green line is part of the glyph). "Armorplating" that appears in both images is correctly translated in the second image. --BryghtShadow (talk) 02:23, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
The bottom right of the destroyer says "CLAWEDFEET", and the arm possibly says "AXE" rather than "AXW". --BryghtShadow (talk) 02:34, 4 September 2019 (UTC)

I found something AMAZING, REVOLUTIONIZING, a breakthrough! On one of the side of Rata Sum you have a DATE, I suppose it's the BUILDING DATE. https://imgur.com/W0JOaNU 1147 AE (after exodus) our character start its journey in 1325 AE, so it's mean Rata Sum is quite recent: 178 years old. Also thanks a lot for your help BryghtShadow and Idris --Inquest Overseer Ezrielia (talk) 12:27, 4 September 2019 (UTC)

Also Idris, I've researched on the ley line panel shown on your page, I think it covers all the lines of maguuma to LA or Orr: https://imgur.com/VjT9WW2--Inquest Overseer Ezrielia (talk) 13:54, 4 September 2019 (UTC)

I'm requiring explorers/translators/asura to help me[edit]

I've found lastly a new object with asuran script on it, but can't translate it due to camera orientation, how it rotates etc. It's the asuran sphere/ Thaumanova reactor key essences dispensers. Only translated so far/ saw on it: "code 50" I need some help to translate what else we have on it. You can find that object in each secondary room of Thaumanova reactor. Ice-Jungle as example.

There is a second one, in recon cove (grothmar valley, with a drawing of a sea creature, dunno what it says. Thanks by advance. --Inquest Overseer Ezrielia (talk) 15:53, 10 January 2020 (UTC)

Added numbers or symbols[edit]

Hello,

I don't understand where the added numbers or symbols come from.

· In the different consoles of Rata Sum and Rata Novus, the numbers that appear are from the New Krytan.

· The symbol "!" has been seen on protest posters.

· I have also never seen the symbol "?" in the game.

Is there any evidence, image, translation, interview... anything to confirm these changes?

Regards, Drawner

Agree, I would be also curious for source for the new symbols and numbers. ~SimeUser Sime Maraca Choya.pngTalk 14:56, 5 August 2020 (UTC)
We have still no source for the numbers and question mark symbol. This information is very likely to be incorrect, and without a anything proving their existence, I think we should not keep it on the page. --TheSkrool (talk) 10:37, 5 September 2020 (UTC)
I will remove the unconfirmed symbols from the page. (And move the images to userspace.) —Kvothe (talk) 13:35, 7 September 2020 (UTC)
Two days is a really short time to expect someone who isn't familiar with a wiki to respond. Don't be so zealous when removing contributions - assume good faith. horrible | contribs 15:39, 22 November 2020 (UTC)
Assuming good faith is about intent, not content. Nobody is accusing the originator of lying or otherwise acting maliciously; it's simply that unconfirmed speculation doesn't belong on a mainspace article. - Felix Omni 13:54, 23 November 2020 (UTC)

Numbers[edit]

I'm by far no expert in asuran lore but i thought they use the same letters for numbers as those used in New Krytan, dont they? It would explain why they're on consoles, displays and such at least and would parallel usage of the same letters for numbers in many languages outside of the game too. (I believe that's how the encoder of {{asuran}} had the encoding for them coded for years too. (Which, provided i remember it correctly, could imply previous consensus on this. (Although i'm not sure about the reason for why it was removed then as it was updated, provided it was truly present in the first place; which i'm not sure about anymore but also can't check as the template appears deleted.))) Nightsky (talk) 16:44, 27 November 2020 (UTC)

There were no numbers in the deleted template. —Kvothe (talk) 17:38, 27 November 2020 (UTC)
Hm.. i don't know what i had seen then that made me believe otherwise. Thanks for the clarification. Nightsky (talk) 17:50, 27 November 2020 (UTC)
