Standing Ground is an effect applied to certain characters during the personal story. It prevents most control effects from affecting the character, and cleanses all conditions except for one stack of the most recently applied condition.

- Various bandits during early human personal story.
- Blaize, during On the Mend.
- Blaize and Big Nose Ted, during part of The Hospital in Jeopardy, prior to defeating Della and Johnny.
- Blaize and Bandit Rifleman (on the stairs only), during Arson at the Orphanage.
- Commander Serentine and some of the guards, during part of The Commander, prior to defeating most of the guards.
- Seraph Archer, during Going Undercover.
- Doorguard, during Rending the Mantle.
- Veteran Ascalonian Fighter, during AWOL.
- Mini-Golem, during Bramble Walls.
- Ministry Guards, during Search the Premises.
- Mouth of Zhaitan, during Estate of Decay, while defended by Orrian Spectral Weapons.
- Flame Centurion Kagaar, during The Flame Advances.
- Flame Legion Sentry, during The Tribune's Call
- Urvan Steelbane during Fury of the Dead
- Teyo during Here, There, Everywhere while standing in the center near the teleportation device.

- It also is applied to Deep Song as she summons Summoned Storms.
