Scavenger hunt

Scavenger hunt is an unofficial term commonly used to describe a series of steps in a quest fashion to acquire something in the game. This may include talking to a series of NPCs, obtaining items by crafting, forging, slaying specific bosses, or simply buying them, doing activities, WvW, PvP, etc. Scavenger hunts may also be time-gated, and may have sub scavenger hunts (eg. crafting legendaries).
Most Scavenger hunts are non-repeatable on an account-wide basis, but are not limited to single character participation. Any character on the account can complete one or more of the needed steps without reference to any specific order or sequence of completion.
Examples[edit]

- The Enchanted Treasure Map is created by collecting four map pieces in various jumping puzzles, and ultimately leads to an item required for a collection.
