How did the Durmand Priory start?

Long before Orr rose, the scholar Durmand set out to compile a true history of Tyria. He build a monastery high above Lion's Arch to house his findings.

That explains the name, but where did everyone else come in?

When the floods came to Orr, much was destroyed, but Durmand's monastery survived. Seeing the wisdom of his plan, many more joined him, and the Priory blossomed into the diverse group that is active today.
