Lutgardis Ruins formerly known as the Lutgardis Conservatory was a large cathedral in the House Lutgardis, where music-related classes were held, now lies in ruins. It is located in Lake Lutgardis in the Echovald Wilds.

History[edit]

Formerly known as Cypress Hollow, House Lutgardis decided to build their cathedral and homes here after the founder of the House, Lord Rolf Lutgardis, came to this place seeking guidance from the Six Human Gods. According to legend, Lord Lutgardis was in deep prayer when a tree, laden with its heavy petrified branches, finally gave way and crashed to the forest floor. It missed Lord Lutgardis by mere inches and was immediately declared a sign from the gods that this was a blessed place for all members of House Lutgardis.

Gwwlogo.png The Guild Wars Wiki has an article on Lutgardis Conservatory.

The Lugardis were dedicated to the study and creation of music in all its myriad forms. They were masters of interpretation and created the best musical instruments in all Cantha; for hundreds of years, no emperor of Cantha had ascended the throne without the inspiring orchestration of the Lutgardis' instruments, often played by the Lutgardis themselves. They used music to clean the streams and bring what new life they could into the forest. It was the home of the tree singers, Kurzicks with a special bond to the few living trees left in the Echovald, protecting them with their songs and with their lives. For the Lutgardis, there was little difference between the two.
