Lure the devourers into the portal before they kill the cattle is a level 80 group event that occurs at Fangstorm's Farmhouse in Rusty Meadows.

These are the expected rewards for a level 80 player.
Walkthrough[edit]
Your objective is to lure hostile devourers into the portal in front of Gorrik marked with the 
icon. To do that, pick up the Patented Pheromone Recycler 2.0. Your cast bar will change to 3 skills. Use Extraction Bolt (skill 1) on hostile devourers to make them drop a Devourer Pheromone Sac. Then pick it up from the ground, which will charge Pheromone Spray (skill 2). Next, spray a hostile devourer. The spray fires in a small cone in front of you, so you can spray a small group of devourers if they are close together. That will make them friendly for a short amount of time and they will follow you. Lead them to the portal. You can use Rush (skill 3) to gain Swiftness.
The event starts 20 minutes after Vaolt Sharpstrike was defeated.

- Gorrik: Ha! Clearly you haven't read Scholar Vib's twelve-volume treatise on the subject. Quite definitive.
- Erasmus Fangstorm: Okay.
- Gorrik: Actually, I'm most curious about the local devourer population. An especially invasive species.
- Erasmus Fangstorm: They're invasive, all right! Invaded these very paddocks once too many.
- Gorrik: And that is exactly what I'm hoping for! Now, we wait.
- Event start
- Gorrik: OHMYGOSH! There they are! They're beautiful!
- Erasmus Fangstorm: They're vermin! And they're going after my cattle!
- Gorrik: Not a problem. Just lure them to this teleporter. I'll get a quick scan, then poof! Back to where they came from!
- Gorrik: How do you lure them? Good question. First, give them a zap with this pheromone extraction device.
- Gorrik: They'll drop a pheromone sac, and you can use it to trick them into thinking you're one of the hive. Temporarily.
- Erasmus Fangstorm: Okay, well, you can use your pheromone whatever-it-is, but I'm gonna use my service rifle.
- Event success
- Erasmus Fangstorm: All right, that's all of 'em. Thanks.
- Gorrik: I'm glad we were able to save your cattle AND gather these valuable scans.
- Erasmus Fangstorm: Sure. Just...leave my cattle out of your little experiments from now on.
- Gorrik: Fine, fine. Good day to you.

- Researcher: Kidding. I'm here to study the local devourer population. Such an invasive species.
- Erasmus Fangstorm: They're invasive, all right! Invaded these very paddocks once too many.
- Researcher: That's what I like to hear.

- Researcher: Gorgeous. Just gorgeous.
- Erasmus Fangstorm: They're vermin! And they're going after my cattle!
- Researcher: Oh! Lure them to this teleporter; I'll just take a quick scan and pop them right back home!
- Researcher: First you'll want to give them an itty-bitty zap with this pheromone-extraction device.
