Fertile Soil are plots of dirt found primarily in locations around Draconis Mons, but can also be found in select locations throughout Tyria. After planting a Fire Orchid Seed in one, as part of the Sprouting the Druid Stone or A Henge Away from Home Achievement collection, one or three Primordial Orchid harvesting node(s) (depending on the number of seeds used) will begin spawning at the location (the fertile soil still remains).
The harvesting nodes behave differently from the regular nodes : the tree will visually fall at the first strike but you will still and always harvest three times (unless you cancel the harvesting, in which case you can't harvest again, except by leaving and re-entering the map, which will cause them to appear again if not yet fully harvested) and the "chop" icon is different (looking more like a usual "interact" icon). The nodes also do not appear on the minimap.
