Player versus Player

Player performs F-key option finishing enemy to score a player kill.

Player versus Player (PvP) is a game mode where a player participates in competitive gaming (as opposed to co-operative).

The following PvP modes have been confirmed to be appearing in Guild Wars 2 so far:

Dueling is not going to be included in the initial release but may be added later.[1]

Players will be able to create and host their own servers or games with specific rule-sets.[2]

To join PvP with a friend, either

  • right-click their name in party list, guild list... and select, "Join Friend in PvP".
  • talk to the PvP Channel NPC in the Hall of Memories. Any channel which contains a friend has an icon beside it.
