And it's a wrap for 2024! – December 18, 2024[edit]
Hi Editors,
Thank you for continuing to make the Guild Wars 2 Wiki the best resource for the community. Whether you added information, screenshots, edited for style and consistency, or updated information, the sum of your total work is doing an amazing work and you should be very proud. As I did at the beginning of the year, I want to wrap the year with some statistics about all this work and a special note.

In terms of Wiki infrastructure, we'll focus next year on the next Long-Term Support (LTS) version of the MediaWiki software, version 1.43 that should release in the first half of year. As I mentioned in January, we will stop releasing non-LTS versions of MediaWiki, unless they provide important value to the Wiki community (or are required to maintain the software stack). We haven't had the time to get to the request from the French Wiki admin to deploy the WISIWYG MediaWiki editor, and we'll keep evaluating the possibility to do it next year.
