Page name and content[edit]

Why the exotic and from drop constraints? Either make it List of exotic named weapon drops or include every single named weapon, I say! --zeeZUser ZeeZ Sig.png (talk) 18:24, 6 July 2013 (UTC)

It's because the page is still a work in progress. I don't think anyone had the intention of excluding named items. I've edited the intro and added a header so maybe it's easier to see what's missing. 75.37.22.217 19:46, 6 July 2013 (UTC)
I don't know about the content, but is the format ok like that? (icons aside) -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 19:57, 6 July 2013 (UTC)
I know it's just a copy of stuff that was removed, just wanted to spark this as soon as possible :P Format seems ok, though the ordering of stats seems odd to me, with magic find being stat 1. Or is that the norm everywhere nowadays?
Do we add other named exotics, like the Mystic Forge exclusive ones (Wings/Feathers of Dwayna, for example) to the same list, do we start a second one? Make a third for named legendaries or just point to Legendary Weapon#Recipes? --zeeZUser ZeeZ Sig.png (talk) 20:52, 6 July 2013 (UTC)
Section for weapons obtained as loot or generic recipe and section for specific Mystic Forge recipes.--Relyk ~ talk < 21:11, 6 July 2013 (UTC)

semantic query[edit]

We should add all these weapons to a category, then we would only need a single semantic query instead of one per weapon. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 02:59, 7 July 2013 (UTC)

if we can think of a category name it would be a good idea. (I've somewhat improved the template..) "Named weapons" being the easiest choice.. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 16:26, 10 September 2013 (UTC)

Queen's Jubilee named weapons[edit]

75.37.20.69 17:09, 8 August 2013 (UTC)

Noted on Champion loot bag, could pull a simple list if we have the item type.--Relyk ~ talk < 17:12, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
I ammended your list for completeness.
Problem: there already was a torch named "Combustion" in the game, with Berserker's stats. The new one has Rampager's stats and probably a fancier appearance (they have different sigils, too). How will we distinguish them? —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 18:32, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
By weapon type, one is a scepter one is a torch.--Relyk ~ talk < 18:35, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
conflict/edit ---The existing Combustion is a torch. The new Combustion (scepter) is a scepter. Or maybe move the torch to Combustion, assuming that players are more interested in the newer, shinier weapon. 75.37.20.69 18:37, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
Grr, how did I miss that >.> —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 18:39, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
Staring at the API too long, terrible side effects--Relyk ~ talk < 18:42, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
Not sure why you want a disambig page for only two weapons. {{otheruses}} is fine. Just have to choose one as the primary. Based on spidy data, the scepter is the more popular one and it just came out, so I'd go with that. 75.37.20.69 18:49, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
(Edit conflict) I just noticed there were gaps in the item ID sequence of these. I guessed that this meant there were more weapons that hadn't been discovered, checked the IDs on the API, and I found 1. The others will probably show up over the next couple days. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 18:49, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
thanks for changing the disambig page to one of the items. 75.37.20.69 18:56, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
The combustion scepter won't be popular with rangers. But hey, popularity trumps all logic.--Relyk ~ talk < 19:41, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
A wild Crustacea appears! And that's probably all of them, all of the icons have been used. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 14:39, 9 August 2013 (UTC)

Feedback 2017/09/02[edit]

Suggest referring to this page from search terms "named item" and "named weapon". Thanks! The preceding unsigned comment was added by 162.248.149.97 (talk) at 04:55, 3 September 2017‎ (UTC).

It's always either the plural version or the singular versions that we forget. I made one for the "Named weapon". "Named item" felt a bit too broad, but if someone disagrees, go for it.--Rain Spell (talk) 05:27, 3 September 2017 (UTC)

TP Prices?[edit]

Any chance we can add the tp prices to the table and/or automate this hard-coded wall of woe? User Incarnazeus Signature.pngtalk 11:34, 2 February 2019 (UTC)

I converted the table into an ask query. If any weapons are missing, it's because they haven't set the right category. Someone better at SMW than me can add TP prices. -BuffsEverywhere (talk) 18:47, 2 February 2019 (UTC)
Nice, good job and thank you! User Incarnazeus Signature.pngtalk 20:07, 2 February 2019 (UTC)
This: {{Item tp row}}? --Tolkyria (talk) 20:31, 2 February 2019 (UTC)
Thank you! I used {{Item tp table}}! Awesome template! --BuffsEverywhere (talk) 21:35, 2 February 2019 (UTC)

(Reset indent) Oh my, you even added the unlocks widget, how cool is that! Thank you both! User Incarnazeus Signature.pngtalk 10:52, 3 February 2019 (UTC)

prefix removal[edit]

I see prefix table is removed now, but I've used them to find which exotic weapon is cheaper for each stats, since crafted weapons are really expensive. Should we really remove that? --Targal (talk) 09:23, 6 February 2019 (UTC)

I'm not sure how you used this table to find cheap exotic weapons of a certain prefix, since this table never had a prefix column and a tp price column at the same time. Furthermore:
  • For me it seems like this table is more skin unlocking related than actually using the weapons.
  • The ingame trading post allows to filter weapons by stats.
  • Ascended weapons, not only they have increased stats, they also have increased damage range which make it worth using them.
However, if you really insist on it, I can add it. --Tolkyria (talk) 12:53, 6 February 2019 (UTC)
It had been there before you edit it. please check the history here: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/index.php?title=List_of_named_weapons&oldid=1806382 this happened quite recently. --Targal (talk) 14:32, 6 February 2019 (UTC)
Yes, I know that there was the column Prefixes. You claimed: "I've used them to find which exotic weapon is cheaper for each stats". But how did you check the price? I just can't see how you did this.
I suggest you to use this: Special:RunQuery/Equipment query. As I already said, if you really insist on the column, I can add it. --Tolkyria (talk) 21:06, 6 February 2019 (UTC)
Oh sorry. I got what you meant. I've done that as just sorting them first, then opening each page and seeing the price info at the corner. --Targal (talk) 07:57, 7 February 2019 (UTC)
I checked the query page, and it seems fine except I can hardly identify if they're tradable because all values of TP price column are seen as 0 copper... is it normal? --Targal (talk) 08:01, 7 February 2019 (UTC)

Missing weapon[edit]

I just made an account just to talk here and I havent figure out how to reply to above sections so i make a new one. (plus i see those are early feb) Having the tp price is great, so does the api search thing, but missing the prefix making it a lot harder to find the exact weapon :/ but the point is, i find at least one weapon is missing from the new list, while i checked history it is on the list (Ebonblade in particular) Idk is this a lot of work but having the prefix tab feels better, I was trying to referring the list to a new player to find the weapon they need, but now i am not really sure. --Sea kouxz (talk) 06:26, 1 April 2019 (UTC)

Done. --Tolkyria (talk) 09:22, 1 April 2019 (UTC)

Adding a total line?[edit]

Can anyone figure out how to add a total value line to the bottom of the table so that we can apply an API to the page and see how much more gold we would need? --Endilbiach (talk) 13:41, 31 March 2023 (UTC)
