For the mount controls, make the right click operate as turning the mount and the camera, instead of it just being the camera. That way it will cause less control confusion when a player gets on/off a mount. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Zaladin (talk).

Hi there. If you're making suggestions for the actual game, I'm afraid this isn't the place. We just document stuff, we have no say in how the game is changed. For suggestions, I suggest the official forums. Good luck! —Ventriloquist 17:31, 11 August 2017 (UTC)

Thoughts? Anyone else think "that's it?" a dull opening fight that does not conclude, mounts that control poorly, hunts that look like they are supposed to be group events [again], and ..... erm .... gambling with ectos? maybe ........ Am I missing stuff? i saw events like a pipe line being attacked that you have to defend [god how i am sick of that] .... am i missing something? Not trying to bash, genuinely asking if i am missing something? .... because to me it seems like less content than living world. 203.59.215.79

Hi there. You experienced the first beta weekend, where only one portion of the first map is available, only one story step, one mount etc. Your experience shouldn't reflect the entire expansion, as there is so much more to come. This was just a taste of what it has to offer, and I assure you what's coming up will be more exciting that this tiny sneak peek. Also, this is a wiki page, we just document stuff. —Ventriloquist 20:22, 12 August 2017 (UTC)

Maps[edit]

In this WoodenPotatoes video, WP explores collections related to the Elite Spec weapons for PoF. The descriptions on some of the items required actually give away the names of maps (the pages of which I already created but it was wrong of me to do so at the time). So would it be OK to list the maps that were seen in that video under the maps section of this article? --Teletric.3821 (talk) 16:48, 16 August 2017 (UTC)

Technically, yes, since they come from an official source, but I wouldn't - just because the maps themselves are susceptible to change, even if we're a month and a week away. —Ventriloquist 17:03, 16 August 2017 (UTC)
I had noticed them too and was about to add them to the wiki. But in the end, while we can probably fairly accurately guess the full names, we can't be absolutely sure about the articles (e.g., Desolation vs. The Desolation) and it's still technically speculation. While I have a feeling someone will create those pages this coming weekend anyway, I'd vote for waiting until we see an actual map with the name, loading screen or API call that confirms them. User Noxx Sig.png 17:19, 16 August 2017 (UTC)
Agreed. We're really in no rush, since the map (if created) with hold little to no info (no maps, areas, pois, etc.) —Ventriloquist 18:33, 16 August 2017 (UTC)

Feedback 2017/08/18[edit]

Liking things overall, but as a revenant main I'm still a bit concerned. This might seem off topic, but until this issue is addressed that specific class isn't getting as much out of the elite spec system as it could. More than anything I feel that the core class needs a rework first and foremost. Ideally I'd like an extra core weapon (I want main hand axe, because reasons) that acts as a more "hybrid" weapon to offset the other options that are all arguably too well defined for pre-set roles. And BARE MINIMUM we need racial skills enabled. Not "I want" I said "WE NEED." Every other class in the game is able to mix and match skills of different types, and the racial skills allow players to have something, anything, on their bar while still unlocking core skills in the early game. Revenants not only never escape this low-level progression problem, it actually has a horrid effect on our end-game progression. Basically we can't use our new elite legends AT ALL until the spec has been fully unlocked, because we have nothing to fill the holes in our skill bar. Every other class can swap in core skills, and at early levels racial skills, yet revenants have NOTHING. The only solution to this we have right now, and one I am currently preparing, is to stockpile hero points before the expansion releases so we can unlock everything all at once right at the start. It works, but it kills the "progression" aspect of this. We can't progress through these new specs and slowly grow in power; we either unlock everything all at once, or just not use it until we've amassed enough hero points to unlock everything all at once. This is a HUGE problem that really guts a lot of the excitement and enjoyment out of the elite spec system, at least for me. - --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 98.252.130.235 (talk).

Hey there! If you'd like to leave feedback on the game, please see the official forums. The wiki feedback option is just leaving feedback/information on the wiki pages themselves. The wiki is just for documenting game data. --Rain Spell (talk) 03:05, 19 August 2017 (UTC)
To add to that, I'd like to point out that the reason we're directing you to the forums is because the wiki is maintained entirely by the players. ANet are simply very unlikely to see your comment if you post it here! --Idris (talk) 03:07, 19 August 2017 (UTC)
Can't, got perma banned years ago. One of many players (we're mostly on guru now) who all got kicked for questionable reasons during Season One. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 98.252.130.235 (talk).
Try reddit then. By the way, don't forget you can sign your comments with four tildes: ~~~~ :) --Idris (talk) 03:19, 19 August 2017 (UTC)
Heard bad things about the reddit community, and these days I try to avoid getting pulled into arguments on the internet; one death threat from a certain topical hate group too many. But out of curiosity how active would you say Arena Net is on reddit? 98.252.130.235 03:26, 19 August 2017 (UTC) Arkham
I see a red-marked (arena-net responded) thread maybe two or three times a week. They don't comment much on posts asking for changes, as their official stance on that is, "We can't promise anything until it's officially announced, because it's always subject to change/removal." But they do respond to some bug threads and occasionally let players know when they're working on certain projects. The gw2 subreddit, like all other game subreddits, is really where people go to complain/vent, so it's not always that constructive, but devs have said that they do read the subreddit, even if they don't respond.--Rain Spell (talk) 03:31, 19 August 2017 (UTC)
(Edit conflict) They're pretty active. They host Q&As after major patches and semi-frequently comment in user threads, so I'd say there's decent chance they'll see your comment, especially if you manage to trigger a discussion. It's anonymous and you're not obliged to respond to anything if you don't want to. --Idris (talk) 03:35, 19 August 2017 (UTC)

Time display[edit]

The way of displaying the launch date is actually pretty confusing. The day is written normally but the hours adjust to the reader's timezone, which in my case gives an incorrect release date. It says September 22 at 01:00, but given that I am 16 hours ahead of Pacific Time, it's actually September 23 at 01:00. It's not that important, especially that close to launch, but maybe simply writing the date in Pacific Time would be better, maybe with a link for people who want to convert? 126.165.51.219 09:52, 21 September 2017 (UTC)

Oh, I understand the pains, and sorry it's doing that. Dealing with days and time zones has been a struggle for a very long time. Next time, I think we should use something like {{#time:F j H:i|@1506096000}}, which gives us September 22 16:00 as though we all live in straight UTC. Following that up with a converter would then give others the tools to adjust to their own local times. G R E E N E R 17:00, 21 September 2017 (UTC)

There are five mounts[edit]

The Griffin is hidden and locked behind a collection. --75.151.187.201 09:34, 23 September 2017 (UTC)

Confirmed. Please add this. Fright01 × 07:25, 24 September 2017 (UTC)
THERE. ARE. FOUR. MOUNTS. I only see four mounts, so there can only be four in total! (sorry. Just reminded of that one ST:TNG episode inspired by 1984 and I had to make a reference)--Rognik (talk) 03:03, 25 September 2017 (UTC)
So six is right out?? (yeah, I'm mixing refs) Since there are six mounts to be obtained as a part of PoF... :-D --Obloodyhell (talk) 03:19, 9 November 2023 (UTC)

Upgrade price[edit]

The upgrade cost 2000 gems. Not 2400. 81.191.12.209 20:09, 5 January 2019 (UTC)

Icebrood Saga[edit]

Should the Icebrood Saga be listed on this page? It's got different masteries and has a different colored banner in the Story Journal. --Rognik (talk) 15:43, 16 June 2021 (UTC)

While you are correct with the masteries and story journal, the Icebrood Saga is just another season, like Season 4, that belongs under Path of Fire and requires the expansion before you can play it. Additionally, it is also advertised on the official buy page as part of the expansion. That is why I included it in the overview, since I also got some feedback that the seasons and their content have been missing from the pages before. If it did not require PoF then I would agree with it not being included. ~Sime 17:01, 16 June 2021 (UTC)

Is there really NO Shared Inventory Slot with the Level-80 Boost like there is/was with the other expansions?[edit]

There is no mention of a Shared Inventory Slot on the article, unlike End of Dragons, which has both Max Level Boost and Shared Inventory Slot listed.
Is this an error on the article or is there actually no shared inventory slot where the boost is "delivered in" you can use after using the boost? Does the boost just come in the mail if there is no shared slot for it?
(Heart of Thorns also had both the slot and the boost when I bought the expansion four years ago)
Sprsrpr (talk) 01:28, 2 November 2021 (UTC)

The Level 80 Boost will come with its own shared inventory slot. I've updated the article to mention it. --BuffsEverywhere (talk) 09:20, 2 November 2021 (UTC)
It looks like there is no longer a L80 Boost/Shared Inventory Slot included in the Path of Fire/Heart of Thorns package. At least, it is no longer mentioned on the purchase page. (Also, the lack thereof mentioned on the forums.) Inculpatus cedo (talk) 05:06, 26 November 2022 (UTC)
It is 100% included in the Steam version despite not being mentioned there either, I see no reason why would they remove it. ~Sime 05:39, 26 November 2022 (UTC)
EDIT: ...There is still the boost on the promo picture (and they automatically come with a shared slot)? And the text/picture has not been changed, it was not, based on wayback machine, ever mentioned, just part of the picture. ~Sime 05:46, 26 November 2022 (UTC)

Max level 80 requirement for new accounts[edit]

Have been advised that new accounts with newly created characters are not able to start/unlock this expansion story line until they have reached level 80. If that can be verified correct, can we have that noted somewhere. The only mention I have found about the level 80 requirement comes from this 2017 article https://www.gosunoob.com/news/guild-wars-2-path-fire-expansion-package-editions-price-content/ Dbaggins (talk) 05:48, 21 March 2022 (UTC)

"Access to associated Living World content"[edit]

"Access to associated Living World content" -- By this, I gather that it does NOT mean you get all the season "Living World" content, only individual chapters. This is not intuitive, and probably should be noted in this segment in the different places it (I presume) appears. I got the deluxe three-content (HoT, PoF, EoD) and apparently only have several chapters from LW 2,3,4, and IS. --Obloodyhell (talk) 03:26, 9 November 2023 (UTC)
