can we categorize this? ^^--Relyk ~ talk < 03:44, 24 August 2013 (UTC)

- I think it's supposed to work as a header section but they didn't want to put the following section as subsections to minimize them. --Stephane Lo Presti talk 18:04, 26 August 2013 (UTC)

Up to date[edit]
Is this a page that needs to get updated, or does this page reflect staff at a certain date? If it does need updating... it shall be a scary task for those of us unable to see an Anet roster... -Darqam (talk) 21:50, 4 April 2016 (UTC)
- I'm thinking of asking Stephane to provide the PoF roster, because it's almost impossible to just assemble the names based off of who shows up in videos and stuff. Is this the right path to take to get the information? Is there someone else I should ask? AnastashaRomanov (talk) 10:29, 19 January 2019 (UTC)
- Well, with the recent layoffs I'm sure people would come seeking who was who and did what, an update would be appreciated yes but I can see the challenge. --Txonä Atan - (talk) 22:28, 25 February 2019 (UTC)
Updating from 2013 to 2015 and archiving[edit]
Per Stephane's talk page, he mentioned that, when he undid some of his edits to this page, he actually went a bit too far back - it's now displaying the credits from 2013. He also created a page called Game credits/Archive/2015, where we have the game credits of 2015, which Stephane described as Heart of Thorns' credits. We also have Game credits/Archive/2013. Both of those pages are not linked from anywhere on the wiki. With that in mind, I suggest:
- Reverting Stephane's edit, so this page shows more proheminently the 2015 credits, at least until we get the Path of Fire credits (those from 2017). We would use the credits from this version
- Actually showing a list of the archived credits in this page, linking to them
- Naming the credits, so people are aware that the 2013 credits are for the core Guild Wars release, the 2015 credits are for Heart of Thorns and the incoming one from 2017 will be for Path of Fire
- Adding links from the articles about those major release to their respectives credits (so the "Guild Wars 2" article would link to the 2013 credits, the "Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns" would link to the 2015 credits, and so on)
What do you think? Does anyone oppose, or have a better idea? Erasculio 01:32, 22 November 2017 (UTC)
- The credits as they appear ingame should be documented somewhere. I propose three subpages, Game credits/Core, Game credits/Heart of Thorns and Game credits/Path of Fire. Those subpages would appear exactly as ingame without deviation. This page would then contain a link to those three at the top, followed by whatever sequence stephane wants. -Chieftain Alex 19:29, 27 November 2017 (UTC)
- Do they appear in game? I have been told that they used to appear after finishing the core storyline, but I don't remember seeing them after HoT or PoF. Then again, if they were also a matter of waiting a bit for the credits to begin, I would have missed them. Erasculio 22:07, 27 November 2017 (UTC)
Feedback 2020/03/15[edit]
Can someone make Sean Kent link to his article?. --Doctor Refrence (talk) 15:52, 15 March 2020 (UTC)

Guess its time to update this?[edit]
this is two expansions behind now... -- Zesbeer 04:55, 3 March 2022 (UTC)
- As this page is protected... currently nothing links to the new Game credits/End of Dragons, they are pretty much not accessible right now without searching explicitly.
- Should we swap this (edit: the page Game credits/End of Dragons) with the main page Game credits and archive the HoT one (already done with the PoF expansion, see Game credits/Archive/2015)? Can we add a {{Archive-box}} on the top for proper archive navigation?
- As already said, we already have a properly formatted and wiki-linked page: Game credits/End of Dragons, not sure why we need two of them, one avoiding all standard wiki format concepts (wiki links, unordered list). --Tolkyria (talk) 06:44, 23 June 2022 (UTC)
- I don't think Path of Fire had any credits, at least i don't remember seeing any, but i could be wrong. So it might have only been one behind.
- I almost agree on adding the archive box. Only that i think it shouldn't be an archive box as in the usual sense where pages are archived as the credits can still be found in game and should thus not technically be archived as they're still available. In other words, having a box on the side like for archives (or perhaps similar to {{game updates monthly overview}}) in appearance would indeed be great for navigation (as having a nav like e.g. this at the end may be a bit inconvinient i'd imagine); being burried at the end and all), but it shouldn't be there in function like an archive as again the credits can still be seen in game and while they may not change anymore they shouldn't be archived but be there like every other non archived page. To that end i would suggest the following:
- Move "Game credits/Archive/2013" to "Game credits/Guild Wars 2".
- Move "Game credits/Archive/2015" to "Game credits/Heart of Thorns" or "Game credits/Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns".
- Move or recreate "Game credits" to/at "Game credits/End of Dragons" or "Game credits/Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons"; improving formatting and adding linking where pages exist while replacing the player written version with the dev provided version at the same time if the first name version is used.
- Turn "Game credits" into a disambiguation page, linking to the above mentioned three pages and with a Note/Trivia section informing of Path of Fire not having had any credits in game, if this indeed applies/is the case; which again i could be wrong about.
- Add a navigation box in the likes of {{Archive-box}} or {{game updates monthly overview}} to all subpages.

- The use of em-dashes vs. en-dashes vs. dashes should probably also be looked at. Similarily as the date of February 29, 2022 that which is nonexistend as 2022 isn't a leap year. Moving the text stating the date before the TOC where this is not alread the case might also not hurt for text extracts to work. There'd also be two locations where it appears that tabs have been used which will probably also want to be corrected. Nightsky (talk) 17:05, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
(Reset indent) I'm copying the reply I gave in on the Talk:Game_credits/End_of_Dragons page:
After discussing the topic of Game Credits with a few admins, I thought I should drop a line here so that you are aware and can reference it. There's been a discussion about making changes to this article. Note that the Game Credits page is a bit special within this wiki because its content is solely coming from the studio and is in general note editable by wiki editors because it is an authoritative source of information beyond the game. Since the proposed changes are mostly cosmetic, I'm just going to check that we do not object to them. Once I have approval, I will have to check all the changes being made because this particular page has to stay within the level of trust we expect (not that we distrust wiki editors, we do, but it is the level required for this particular page).
Kvothe told me that they're going to prepare those changes so that I can compare them when I've received approval (and when I have the time, please be patient with me!).
I hope this makes sense to everyone.
--Stephane Lo Presti talk 22:29, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
- Going to prepare the changes over the weekend. As Stéphane wrote please bear with us. —Kvothe (talk) 00:34, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you both!
- I figured that i'd point out that, while it may "only" be cosmetic changes, it'd be great when the different game credit pages would share a consistent formating.
- And if i may also add; once you, Stéphane, get around to having a look at this, you may then also want to have a look at the subpages, so that the protection on them is consistent as well. Nightsky (talk) 01:53, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
SotO Cast[edit]
A tweet by Indigo for some of the Secrets of the Obscure cast. I can't view the thread because I don't use twitter (or X?), but a guildie gave me this link: https://twitter.com/indigoboock/status/1694032854848881097?s=20 Jaded13 (talk) 17:01, 27 August 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you! While the Game credits page contains the list as provided by ArenaNet directly, the Twitter link will be very useful for expanding trivias and the voice actor page. ~Sime 17:34, 27 August 2023 (UTC)
