The Statue of Ferro the Butcher is one of six statues commemorating legendary charr war heroes in the Memorial Quadrant of the Black Citadel. He is the father of one of the current Iron Legion Tribunes, Bhuer Goreblade.

Ferro the Butcher

Ferro, formerly of the Iron Legion, is the father of Tribune Bhuer Goreblade.

Ferro was obsessed with the tainted legacy of his grandsire, Drub Gorefang, and relentlessly pursued the matter, even against the orders of his superiors.

This caused him to break from his legion, and join the Sentinels defending the Brand. There, he became a living spectre of death, earning his nickname: "The Butcher".

When his son was born, he selflessly volunteered to answer for his ancestor's crimes, so that Bhuer could reclaim the Gore warband name with honor.

After his father died, Bhuer successfully petitioned Smodur the Unflinching to erect a statue in honor of his father's noble sacrifice.

The text here mentions Ferro joined the Sentinels defending the Dragonbrand until his son, Bhuer Goreblade, was born, however the Dragonbrand was only created in 1320 AE, two years before Ferro's death, and well after Bhuer's birth.
