Some are refugees of Forged and Zaishen attacks, some are exiles and defectors fleeing Elona, some are sheltering from the Branded, and some are our own citizens made homeless by the sandstorm.

They were, but the Elder Dragon Kralkatorrik moved not long ago, Branding more of the desert as it flew somewhere to the southeast. Since then, its minions changed course to follow their master.
