When the guardian class was revealed, my plan was for my main to be a charr guardian. In fact, I played one during the testing phases and was in love with how flashy the skill animations were. The torch was especially fun for a guardian with its blue flame. I found it to be a very sturdy class, so Starr became my second permanent character upon launch. She and Grim share my real birthday.
Starr was my personal nickname for many years before I started playing Guild Wars, and Starr the Insane (the name of my charr thief) was the name of my original GW warrior. I used this name in ANet art contests. Later, I created a second dervish named Starr Mortbane. This name was meant to represent me personally, so I have a serious attachment to this guardian.
Her appearance was based on a pet that I had (Althea), with a little bit of Mortbane history thrown in too. The Mortbane charr are descendents of Roan Mortbane, who had a fiery auburn mane.
I regret I have not advanced her story much, and I certainly owe it to her to reach 80. She does, however, see more WvW/PvP than any of my other characters.
Starr has reached 400 in Armorsmithing. Yay!
November 10, 2013 - Finally leveled to 80. Got Blood of the Khan-Ur and the Toxic Mantle skin (and now the gauntlets too). I have played her almost exclusively since early October, especially for the living world events. Prior to level 50, she was meant to wear silver and aqua armor with her radiant gauntlets, but she started wearing more and more purple like her PvP set and I just fell in love. I'm glad I didn't use the hairstyle kit for her, because there isn't a good purple right now, and it would take away from her background story.
November 24, 2013 - Finished Nightmare Within Achievements and completed exotic armor set. Also purchased Crystal Guardian.
