This is my page for recording and displaying data that I have collected during experiments. Each experiment has it's own methodology section so that anyone can see how I performed each experiment. Sorry about this, but this page will probably be pretty darn long. Use the Table of Contents when possible.

Note[edit]

Because it's both easier to record and can change cells dynamically, I've moved all recording of data from this page to this google doc. [1] I'll give any wiki editor's google account permissions to view it if you really want to, but it might seem a bit jumbled. Also, sorry about forcing you to use a google account just to look at it, but I really do like google docs better for recording data than putting it into a table on a wiki. Anyway, I will be listing all relevant data for each experiment on this page.

Experiment One: Life Blast Damage with Life Force[edit]

Note[edit]

This experiment was made invalid and obsolete by the June 25th update. I've discontinued it.

Methodology[edit]

  • Equipment: PvP Light Armor with 6 Runes of Orr (Because they have no effect upon this test). I was using a sigilless PvP Steady Dagger for testing purposes (also so that my character wouldn't autoattack when I came out of Death Shroud). I was not using an amulet, back slot, or any accessories.
  • Traits: 0/0/0/0/30 with Soul Reaping major traits III, IV, and XII.
  • Utility Skills: Spectral Grasp for Life Force generation between tests. My other utility skills were Well of Power and Well of Corruption to fill those slots with skills that make no difference. My elite skill was Lich Form for the same reason.
  • Crits: My displayed crit chance is 4%, and my crit damage is 30%.
  • Method: I target a Target Golem - Heavy. Activate Death Shroud, immediately pressing 1 for Life Blast, and once it is finished casting, re-activate Death Shroud. Once I run out of life force, I will use Dagger 1 and Spectral Grasp to refill life force, and start anew on a respawned golem.
  • Legend:
  • UE:User Error: Somewhere that I made a mistake in execution, normally accidentally going out of Death Shroud before Life Blast is finished casting. Rarely I had FPS stutters that skipped the damage-showing frames so I didn't see the number.
  • Interrupted: This is where someone else interrupted me by taking my golem (those jerks) or by killing something nearby, causing my Life Force to go up.

Notes[edit]

  • N001: My goal for the first series of tests was to have two stretches where I recorded my life force total going from 100% to <10%. The second one (34-56) was un-interrupted, which is great. After this point, I began to use a PvP Cleric's Amulet, in order to get higher numbers (and thereby more accurate via more display digits). I purposefully did not use anything with +Vitality (because Vit affects maximum Life Force) or +Precision (so that I don't have to do as many maths to find the non-crit damage).
