Pushing the basic combo further[edit]

So if you have been listening by now, you should know that to start a self combo, you need to have a longbow slotted to use Combustive_Shot. There are many other choices when it comes to the secondary weapon choice, but it will influence the shape of he combo you will be able to pull off.

Here is the most offensive combo I use myself for a massive fire based area effect spike... The sword/axe leaping fire whirl technique! Start with longbow.

I like to use "For_Great_Justice!" to turbo charge the spike with 3 more stacks of Might and some Fury. Also if you have Sigil of battle on your weapons, weapon switches will keep the might going higher.

When the move is over, it may be possible that there are things still alive... and that's no problem! Recover with Dual_Strike, Flurry, then jump out, switchback to bow and do the combo all over again, kiting in and out of battle. Do remember however that Whirling_Axe takes 20 seconds to recharge.

Another way of archieving the same effect, using the axe/axe combo, is as follows. Wait until your foe is in range of your melee weapons ( or get closer yourself) and begin the first part of the combo using the longbow.

The difference between the moves lies in the recovery....swd/axe also allows to deliver a lot of conditions on top of the raw damage of the firespike ... the axe/axe combo on the other end is a little bit cruder but works very well when cornered or pressed for time. Sword/axe also has a "builtin" leap with savage, while double axe has a much easier time to rebuild adrenaline and do a minicombo using Cyclone_Axe and Eviscerate(reswitch to bow, redo opener and do a quick cyclone/eviscerate for a boostup of 3 stacks of might and renewal of the fireshield )

Ultimately the choice is yours, depending on playstyle.

Keep following for the next part of the manual, Where I talk about other weapon combos and situations where you might find yourself relying on them.
