Dialogue[edit]

- After Tower of Nightmares if Toxic Krait Historian is not complete
- One project ends; another begins. With the krait obelisk shards gone, I've been tasked with studying the effects of the collapse of the Tower of Nightmares.
- In order to persuade the krait to join her toxic alliance, Scarlet gave them shards of one of their obelisks. Her gift clearly made an impression, if it convinced them to play well with others.
- We know the rare and immensely powerful objects are sacred to the krait, but we can only speculate about their purpose.[sic]
What do the shards mean to the krait?
- Sounds ominous.
Obelisk shards?
- I've heard that after the tower fell, the surviving toxic krait fled through portals, taking their obelisk shards with them. Spirits only know what they're doing with them now.
- (If member of Durmand Priory)
- Between you and me, Steward Gixx wasn't pleased that the krait made off with those shards. Now we can only guess what else we might have learned from them.
- That's a generous offer, <Character name>, and better still, it may put Steward Gixx in a better mood for a change. Raven guide you, my friend.
- Happy to be of help.
Your colleagues are welcome to have a look at the one that I was able to recover.
- That is unfortunate.
What else have you heard?
- That is unfortunate.
What happened to those shards?
- Good luck.
- After Tower of Nightmares if Toxic Krait Historian is complete
- Thank you again, <Character name>. Your field research on the obelisk shards was invaluable, especially now that the Tower of Nightmares has been toppled.

- While Toxic Krait Historian is active/incomplete
- I'm gathering information for Marjory Delaqua about the krait's involvement with this toxic situation we find ourselves in.
- The krait are notorious xenophobes. We searched for the motive behind this inconceivable alliance and strongly suspect that Scarlet offered the krait shards of an obelisk in exchange for their participation.
- We know that the obelisks are reportedly the krait's most sacred and powerful objects. They've seldom been seen by outsiders, but we need to learn more about their magical important in a hurry.
- I have a device that transcribes the magical signatures of powerful artifacts. Take on into the field and help us discover why the krait revere these objects.
- I'll take one of those transcribers.
- Where can I find these obelisk shards?
- Maybe later.
How can I help?
- Where can I find these obelisk shards?
Why are obelisk shards important?
- Since her attack on Queen Jennah's Jubilee, Scarlet Briar and her minions have wreaked havoc across Tyria. She'd dangerously adept at engineering monstrous devices and villainous alliances both.
- How did you say Scarlet was able to get the krait to be part of her toxic alliance? (Returns to "What have you learned so far?")
Wait. Who is Scarlet?
What have you learned so far?
- Sorry, can't help you just now.
