Each starter kit contains the appropriate precursor weapon, legendary-specific gift, and either a Gift of Magic or Gift of Might. This effectively means that a player can craft a legendary without having to level or even owning any crafting professions.
Be aware that receiving the Gift of Magic or Gift of Might from the kit is random. Since you do not get to choose which one to receive, it is advised to obtain the kit first and then craft the required Gift of Magic or Gift of Might that was not received from the kit.
