This area is rife with Dragon's corruption. Hunt down any corrupt wolves or shards of corrution you can find. The grawl to the east are also extremely dangerous.

Vendrake's son, Rani, wants to take on Dragon and his followers. He says Raven gave him a plan to deal with the grawl. If you get a chance, check on him. He's too young to fight those beasts, or any of the corrupted beasts around here.
