We don't live in our parents' world anymore. With the rise of Orr, our futures became shaky. I wish I could promise an end to this war, but I don't know that it will happen in my lifetime.

You're Vigil, right? Tell me about that.

The Vigil is a powerful fellowship of individuals dedicated to defending the defenseless, freeing the oppressed, and raising the standards of goodness and charity.

How did the Vigil come to be?

Almorra Soulkeeper, our leader, created the order after she realized the charr legions couldn't or wouldn't serve a greater purpose. She wanted to cast her protective net wider. Her dedication to saving the world goes beyond a normal heroic quest. She's a true inspiration.

(laugh) You could say so. I saw her once, but have never spoken with her. She has a strategic mind greater than the most illustrious leaders throughout history. If we beat the dragons, it'll be because of her efforts.

What's your mission here?

We're spreading along the coast to keep Orrians at bay and halt their progress inland. This particular Vigil camp guards the western shore of the Ocean's Gullet. We patrol and attack any Orrians we encounter. Sometimes, they attack us too.

During Escort the Vigil to the Tower of Modius

We're taking explosives to the Tower of Modius. That lich is going up in smoke.

You've got your work cut out for you.

During Escort a Vigil bomb to the tower's weak point

That lich is halting our progress. We need to subdue it so we can get our offensive in place.

What can I do?

Cover this crusader. She's going to run a bomb up to the tower. Keep her safe. If her fingers get sweaty, she might drop the bomb, and that wouldn't be healthy for anyone.

We need a way to distract the lich and slow him down.

Try engaging him in direct combat. There's a ledge to the west that might lead up to the tower roof.

If there's a way, I'll get up there.

Back up that Vigil crusader with the bomb. Keep him safe. I don't want a repeat of what happened to the first. We lose no more!
