GWWT doesn't exist on GW2W yet. ShadowRunner 19:37, 15 September 2010 (UTC)

yeah, checked poke's talk page when it didnt show up, using javascript:(function(){var x=document.createElement('script');x.src='http://wiki.guildwars.com/index.php?title=User:Poke/GuildWarsWikiTools/ContributionCount.js&action=raw&ctype=text/javascript';x.type='text/javascript';document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(x);})(); workaround, atm. — Scythe 19:40, 15 Sep 2010 (UTC)
Isn't that the contribution counter..? ShadowRunner 19:42, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
ups, what a pain it was fixing that :( — Scythe 20:05, 15 Sep 2010 (UTC)

Welcome[edit]

Hai there, Scythe. Welcome to GW2W and enjoy your stay! I didn't bring cookies though, sorry. User ***EAGLEMUT*** Signature.png ***EAGLEMUT*** TALK 20:33, 15 September 2010 (UTC)

i brought my own :P (only got 1 box tho, where are those damn girl scouts when u need em D: ) ^^ fixing (or at least trying to) Template:Trait_iconScythe 20:37, 15 Sep 2010 (UTC)

Trait icon[edit]

I see you are working on my little problem there with the template. I hope you can solve it. I just wanted to point out that most of the common traits do not end with (trait). See List of ranger traits or List of warrior traits. Only the generic strength, vitality, etc will end with (trait). You'll notice that things like minor vitality or superior strength do not. I thought about solving this problem with 2 spans, one for the icon and one for the background, but I have yet to test this theory. Venom20 User Venom20-icon-0602-sm-black.png 21:23, 15 September 2010 (UTC)

oh, then they're not all disambiguous, are they... i iz confuzzled now D: hmm... even played around with it in dreamweaver. Thought about how there is the text-alignment thing, so u can align text to the bottom/top of an image (etc etc), but that dosnt work. om actually quite stumped... — Scythe 21:29, 15 Sep 2010 (UTC)
If it helps you can do it as a table. Chriskang was the one who was working on the template. This is his template. And here is where he was testing it. It uses a table. But when I brought it into main space it had some weird spacing issues. The spacing issues may have been caused by my loop problem and I haven't gone back and tested the table theory. Venom20 User Venom20-icon-0602-sm-black.png 21:43, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
{} (trait)}}} for the disambiguation issue then? (i think thats how u use if on a link, haven't use if in a while). As far as the use of tables goes, i think its because by default, tables get a 1px un-editable div-type "border" (if that makes any sense...). Therefore, a 25px image + the border = 27/25. Sizing it to 23 may fix it, should i try that? — Scythe 22:01, 15 Sep 2010 (UTC)
hmm, im ganna try something really heavy in templates (something like {{{[stuff]{}}}} w/ #if: *sets wiki status to do not disturb* gotta concentrate for this :) — Scythe 22:16, 15 Sep 2010 (UTC)
(Edit conflict) Give the sizing a whirl. As for the potentially ambiguous names, for now thee article and png's are actually titled Strength (trait) vs Strength. Venom20 User Venom20-icon-0602-sm-black.png 22:19, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
yes, i understand that. What im talking about is using w/ the second option, ofc. — Scythe 22:28, 15 Sep 2010 (UTC)

User_talk:The Scythe Has Fallen#Welcome and User_talk:The Scythe Has Fallen#Trait Icon. Sadly, trolls bring out the worst in me :( ^^ — Scythe 22:45, 19 Sep 2010 (UTC)
There's a general aura of miscommunications in regards to trolls, though. Someone blatantly stating their mind is not a troll, whereas someone stating anything to bait another user is. If you want a real troll, I can refer to User:Aliceandsven, basically. That one gave me headaches. - Infinite - talk 22:48, 19 September 2010 (UTC)

damn, just over 3sec :( <- ^^ — Scythe 22:51, 19 Sep 2010 (UTC)
I have never seen Raine troll on GWW at all. Although Auron can be blunt, extremely direct and tactless, his authority tools were used in a fair, unbiased and professional manner. If you feel any of these users are specifically "against you" I can tell you from unbiased perspective that they are in fact not (although I strike through that fact in regards to Aliceandsven, who is a troll throughout). Some things might feel unfair but the wiki is not a socializing network and we should focus primarily on documenting the game and other GW2-related information. (As you've shown coding eagerness and testing, along with a page dedicated to your lack of work to focus on, I can only thumb up your motivation.)
As I said, just let go and if they "do" in a later stage show excessive negative behaviour towards yourself, take a deep breath and browse away from the comment. :) - Infinite - talk 23:01, 19 September 2010 (UTC)
because you werent there, i didnt make that list, only did a +/-1 to it, taking shadow off & adding her. Check the history. Pretty sure Wyn made it... Cheers! — Scythe 23:05, 19 Sep 2010 (UTC)
Actually, I think it was Raine. The whole "cabal" thing was ridiculous anyway. ShadowRunner 23:07, 19 September 2010 (UTC)
be & felix have discussed it extensively over irc, its less of a cabal, more of a clique... — Scythe 23:09, 19 Sep 2010 (UTC)
I'd say, welcome to GW2W, where GWW has no influence. - Infinite - talk 23:10, 19 September 2010 (UTC)
If only it were that simple. Past judgement carries over, no matter how small. Some form of bias will always exist between those who were also on the GWW. ShadowRunner 23:12, 19 September 2010 (UTC)
(Edit conflict) it has influence in User's attitudes towards other users, but no direct influence. well, looks like SR beat me to it :( — Scythe 23:14, 19 Sep 2010 (UTC)
Wiki-etiquette is standard, of course. Also, there has been resolved that a new wiki equals a clean slate. Though obviously falling into the direct pattern of GWW can counter-balance any clean slate. - Infinite - talk 23:15, 19 September 2010 (UTC)

Your user talk page formatting[edit]

No, absolutely not. - Tanetris 01:44, 23 September 2010 (UTC)

elaborate? This was fine on gww... and gw2w has looser rules. — Scythe 1:56, 23 Sep 2010 (UTC)
At the very least, you need to archive that first section. It's borking your page to hell. Oh, and do you really need 100px margins on each side of the talk area? On narrower resolutions that's a lot of space. The preceding unsigned comment was added by JonTheMon (talkcontribs).
Perhaps make it a percentage instead of a fixed size?
However personally I always design things with a large-ish moniter in mind as... it's a wiki for a game... User A F K When Needed Signature Icon.jpg A F K When Needed 13:51, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
i coded this quite a while ago... iirc its like like 10% per side or sumtin, i know the 'content area' of it is like 83%. + on my iPod touch, the borders are actually rather small. — Scythe 20:31, 23 Sep 2010 (UTC)

got it, its cuz the 'content' area is 83%, and the margins are 100px(per side) so if u have a narrow monitor it will to too wide. Will fix — Scythe 20:17, 27 Sep 2010 (UTC)
Considering it's been 4 days since Jon pointed out specifics (thanks Jon) and it's still unfixed, I'm removing the formatting. You can put it back when it doesn't horrendously break the page. Note: Try testing on different resolutions and browsers before implementing, since talk pages aren't just for you. Asidely, it was never fine on GWW, I just never felt like pushing the issue (and guess no one else did either). - Tanetris 01:31, 28 September 2010 (UTC)

You are not an admin. Do not try to act like one. Leave it to the actual admins. - Tanetris 01:31, 28 September 2010 (UTC)

Obviously you can't say "this is your last warning" when you can't enforce it, but warning other people when their behavior is not appropriate is not the sole territory of admins. That being said, when something's been brought to the Admin Noticeboard, it's probably safe to leave it to the care of the admin team. Felix Omni Signature.png 01:35, 28 September 2010 (UTC)

Your Welcome Template[edit]

You might want to make it readable. And you might also want to start doing so you don't end overloading the job queue whenever you make an edit to your template. --Riddle 02:29, 28 September 2010 (UTC)

Seriously[edit]

I look for one second at the wiki and I see you start on about Auron. I've read everything that has lead up to this. The first post that lead to this point was you commenting (and linking your personal GWW events) to Venom. These two cases are no where near similar. It seemed that you believed Venom was going to be banned, which in fact, he was not. Auron stated that fact, thus disputing your comment. If it was any other user, you would not be trying to start such a fuss over their reply.

Personally, I try to keep any wrong doings on GWW separate from any decision making I do here, but after seeing this and this starting, if you wish to open back up some vendetta on this wiki, I will end it before it gets to the point it did on GWW. — Gares 22:06, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

i've done that. The AN post was an attempted preemptive strike. — Scythe 22:12, 30 Sep 2010 (UTC)

Auron crusade[edit]

Please stop.

Sincerely, Naoroji User Naoroji Golem - Green.jpg 23:18, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

I aparently don't because its bullshit. It's been done to my edits by administrators, but I'm not going to start a rv. war over it. — Scythe 23:55, 30 Sep 2010 (UTC)

Regarding Auron, yet again[edit]

I don't know how to explain this any more clearly than it has already been explained to you repeatedly. The contributions you point to, while aggressive, are not personal attacks. A personal attack involves commenting on a person (examples: "Auron is bias" and "[Auron's] net worth to the wiki is rather low"). Criticizing what you say and what you do is the exact opposite of a personal attack. It has nothing to do with you, it's what you put on the wiki.

Repeatedly I've seen you say you're dropping it, or even demanding that others drop it, and yet your very next contribution to the wiki is the exact same thing. It's unacceptable. You've been told it's unacceptable, warned, and even received a short ban as further warning (all on this wiki, ignoring the permaban for the exact same thing on the other wiki). It's clearly not getting through. I'm not going to perma you on simple grounds that I can't justify permabanning at such an early stage of the wiki, before the game is even out, someone who I still hold some amount of belief is contributing in good faith, even if it does come out far more as harm than good. So, a year. If you haven't managed by then to drop your crusade and learn to contribute constructively rather than disruptively, I expect there'll be nothing left to do but to permaban, but hopefully instead you'll just figure out what literally everyone has been trying to tell you all this time. - Tanetris 21:44, 1 October 2010 (UTC)

Oh gool ol' Wiki Lawyering Hey I just called someone a faggot but wrote an essay to an admin beforehand so I can't get banned. LOL!. I should do that too sometimes. --Super Igor User- Super Igor logo.png 11:21, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
