Bugs[edit]

Bugged mission. Released all prisoners below and on the tower but Apatia couldn't see Hywell when we got to his cage. Nothing to do but go through the whole mess again.--Ecks

Also encountered this bug same bug between releasing prisoners on the top of the tower and fighting the Krair Priestess, so I added it to the page, after the My Story box but before the Pact Storyline box at the bottom. Feel free to move it if it's not in the right place (sorry). --67.180.4.160 17:10, 13 October 2015 (UTC)

AS a hunter, I was able to peel the sharks off and deal with them. Slavemaster just keeps up his circuit and you go for him next circuit(red monster icon).

Walkthrough Tactic[edit]

The sharks do not "go away" when their slaver master is downed; the instructions clearly state that all three must be defeated. My first attempt had them return and finish off Apatia (who isn't nearly as tough as the current Walkthrough promises), then just stay there, making it quite difficult to continue without aggroing both of them. I'll try and revise the strategy once I come up with one that works for those of us who hate swimming. --OldBoy 08:28, 30 October 2012 (UTC)

Updated the Walkthrough to remove the suggestion to take out the slaver, because its shark pets don't disperse afterwards, confirmed. I kited the sharks, while my armor-clad companion fought the krait, circled back and helped finish it off, got one shark, but the other returned to where the body floated and killed Apatia. The mission absolutely would not proceed until I defeated the second shark. --OldBoy 07:38, 31 October 2012 (UTC)

Oh, and didn't experience any bug at the top of the tower, either. Again, I took it slowly, never taking on any more than each platform threw at us, and defeated the boss before releasing the prisoner. Or maybe they just fixed it. --OldBoy 07:38, 31 October 2012 (UTC)

Definitely still has issues. My first time killing the priestess, the prison was empty, did not respond to my Examine, and Apatia just stood there, not following me anymore. It might have something to do with my D/P thief way of doing things, stealthing every two shots. Killing myself had no effect. However I went back through it all again, using P/P blind fields for defense instead and got through it no problem. Apatia died in the encounter both times. Myrid 04:17, 3 March 2013 (UTC)

This is how my hunter did it. Go to pens to bottom, talk. go kill sharks, then slavemaster, release fiesty prisioner. then you have to go up, above the water and walk various planks. Kill slavers all the way up. There are four prisioners about halfway and a few mini mobs of slavers. Then you search upwards for Hylek.

The plank is bundled logs that my norm had to jump at each step. Reach top, kill priestess, release Hylek and do talk bits with Aptia about chasing orb to finish. This leads to Wet Work.

Reckon it's worth guessing?[edit]

I made this edit as I played through it this evening.

TheFerocity, Dignity & Charisma dialogue options were the same as the ones already on the page. Since ArenaNet reused that dialogue, I reckon there's a fairly good chance that the responses to them were copied as well. Should we just assume that they did and edit accordingly? I mean, it's the same NPC responding to the exact same comments, so there's a very high chance that we'd be right. Khenmu 02:08, 22 December 2013 (UTC)

I would say never assume. But I recall that dialogue chain - you could go through it several times and the order you selected held no influence whatsoever. I do think that the lines were the same. Konig 03:57, 22 December 2013 (UTC)

Gone/moved?[edit]

Is it possible this mission has been moved or removed entirely with the recent updates? I went straight from Forging the Pact to The Battle of Fort Trinity, and now at The Source of Orr, Sayeh is here and I can claim that she's helped me twice now, yet I've never seen her before in my personal story on this character. --horsedrowner 12:00, 21 September 2014 (UTC)

The "greatest fear" steps got moved to after The Source of Orr because Anet wanted to package all of the Trahearne steps together. Unfortunately, someone forgot to do a full impact analysis, and the dialogue all remained exactly the same, resulting in a whole buttload of anachronisms. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 13:16, 21 September 2014 (UTC)
They seemed at least to still exist, because my character who has done this mission and Wet Work prior to the update, has now Intercepting the Orb as the next story mission (according to the UI) even so it is not mentioned in the story journal. Balwin (talk) 13:40, 21 September 2014 (UTC)
