Talk:Mawdrey
Acquisition clean up[edit]
Something similar to the crafting diagram we have for Legendaries might help clean up the page a bit. I was thinking something like this:
would make it a bit more readable. Although, this mockup doesn't include the order you have to click things to create it, or the disciplines required. Thrain | contribs 00:58, 18 August 2014 (UTC)
Trivia[edit]
Obviously the name is a reference to the plant monster in The Little Shop of Horrors. SarielV 06:17, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
- You could copy the note from Mawdrey II. I think in this case, "II" came before "I". – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 08:07, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
Screenshot[edit]
Mawdrey is NOT identical in appearance to the Cultivated Vine and the preview window is actually correct. Just because there's an anomaly with the Chaos of Lyssa that doesn't mean it's the norm or even common for backpieces (see Light of Dwayna, Shadow of Grenth). -Somohexual (talk) 17:12, 28 August 2014 (UTC)
- I replaced Cultivated Vine's original lower-quality screenshot with the actual Mawdrey one, which was a mistake on my part. The Vine has no effects on the ends of the vines, unlike Mawdrey. However, the version you reverted was still correct. Use this video for reference how Mawdrey actually looks like. The misty effect isn't that present, unlike in the preview, so regardless, the original screenshot that you reverted (which I now reuploaded at File:Mawdrey.jpg) was still correct as it was showing the in-game version which always takes priority over preview window. --Ventriloquist 17:41, 28 August 2014 (UTC)
Requirements[edit]
Should it be noted somewhere that completion of Dragon's Reach: Part 2 is required to craft this item? New players wont be able to craft this unless they buy the specific chapter in the gemstore. - Manassas (talk) 09:52, 14 January 2015 (UTC)
- Also a note about which/how professions you will need in order to craft it should you choose to craft this completely on your own without buying any prebuilt items on the Trading Post.
- I myself just stumbled onto this that I need yet another profession (Jeweler) to craft this... Having learned Tailor just specifically for mawdrey already this really annoys me right now... Well, partly my fault since I didn't look through all materials beforehand... but yeah. It would be nice to see this on a single page. --Mihawk90 (talk) 10:10, 22 August 2015 (UTC)
- It's a pain to see on a page that is so full of details. It is listed in this section, both in the paragraph and on the table. If you've gotten to the Mawdrey stage though, shouldn't you have already needed the Jeweler crafting ability to make the Grow Lamp for the previous stage? G R E E N E R 19:49, 22 August 2015 (UTC)
Multiple?[edit]
Can you make more than one of it?Eknidu (talk) 06:03, 20 October 2020 (UTC)
- You can, yep! You need the Living Story items that you receive as rewards (run alts through the story) or you can visit Azarr Softhoof to purchase the items needed. You still need to do the grind with crafting everything again, though. Muirellthe Moon 06:25, 20 October 2020 (UTC)
Is there any Achievement Points directly obtained in the acquisition of Mawdrey 2?[edit]
Because this seems like a huge waste of materials for something I don't need (I already have Herta, which also awarded AP via its collections). --202.190.103.95 21:21, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
- Nope, there isn't any related achievement. ~Sime 00:34, 1 June 2021 (UTC)
Salvaging[edit]
I salvaged one of my Mawdreys and only got 5x +1 Agony Infusions--Thorwynn (talk) 18:03, 11 April 2023 (UTC)
