Hmmm[edit]

The Asuran Inquestition? :P -- Konig/talk 01:20, 22 April 2010 (UTC)

I would actually be very disappointed if A-net missed such a golden opportunity.--Corsair 04:14, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
I would actually be very disappointed if A-net did something that stupid. Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ аІiсә User Aliceandsven 1.png ѕνәи Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ 19:53, 22 April 2010 (UTC)

Very Very Bad[edit]

I suggest we start killing as many asura as we possibly can right away before Inquest comes around. Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ аІiсә User Aliceandsven 1.png ѕνәи Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ 19:53, 22 April 2010 (UTC)

And cause a fourth wall-transcending time paradox? Mind = blown. 198.174.37.44 03:00, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

Undercover Secret Ninjosity?[edit]

So, what, will we be seeing Asura going around kidnapping other asura, or charr, or even humans or sylvari? they'd be like little ninja gnome-slightly people! That would be awesome. /invokesthelawofconservationofninjitsu Zolann The IrreverentUser Zolann The Irreverent Mysterious Summoning Stone.png 23:22, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

Well, the Asura DID use the Sylvari as lab-rats for a while... maybe the Inquest is still doing that? o_O --AmannelleUser Amannelle Me.jpg 00:11, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

Ah, so this is it.[edit]

I was wondering. If you notice, every race has its own internal enemy organization:

  • Charr - Gold Legion
  • Sylvari - Nightmare Court
  • Norn - Sons of Svanir
  • Human - White Mantle

and now...

  • Asura - The Inquest

Arshay Duskbrow 23:32, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

You mean Flame Legion. Gnarf 18:33, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
Same difference, actually. Call them Gold if you want to piss 'em off. --72.197.37.16 20:01, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
Of note to this, perhaps it would be important to place information in the mainspace as to why each of these organizations is allowed within their race's cities/domains when they should be exiled. Just as a Note or Trivia. But it's worth a mention, imo. —Jyavoc 19:22, 10 December 2012 (UTC)

Maaaaaaybe[edit]

I followed the link from the achievement page, it said Inquisitors and I was like, BAUER SURVIVED!!1! So perhaps, the Asura were saved by the unseen aswell?--Mark, User talk:Markisbeest het Beest 13:11, 29 November 2010 (UTC)

Yes, and any other interrogator is a White Mantle spy! Seriously, Inquest and inquisitor are fairly common terms. The later being another word for "detective" or "interrogator" more or less. A person who asks questions. -- Konig/talk 23:48, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
No reason to react all that pissed all the sudden, I was just writing down my thoughts and the fact that members of this order are noted down in the same way as members of another quite well-known order in Tyria... and I don't recall anyone ever using the words inquest and inquisitor in daily life, the first one not even in history class.--Mark, User talk:Markisbeest het Beest 16:34, 1 December 2010 (UTC)
It's amazing what tones people give my words when they read them! I'm neither was nor am "pissed all of a sudden." The first sentence was sarcasm, the second was less so, but neither was "pissed." -- Konig/talk 17:47, 1 December 2010 (UTC)
Your sig makes people angry, but in a way that makes them think you were angry first. -- Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig.png 18:33, 1 December 2010 (UTC)
Maybe I should change it to a green font. KONIG SMASH! -- Konig/talk 23:07, 1 December 2010 (UTC)
Lol clearly it has to do with the spelling of your name. :D Konig begins with K, as does "Kill".... so obviously upon seeing your name, people suspect that your real intention is much darker than at first appears.. xD ok, I got nothing... -AmannelleUser Amannelle Me.jpg 02:16, 2 December 2010 (UTC)
Rather than the ominous "KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL" from Angel, I prefer "Commit Seppuko Commit Seppuko Commit Seppuko" from Gintama. I should change my name to Conig... or maybe Sonig. Or maybe Conig Sonig! -- Konig/talk 07:21, 2 December 2010 (UTC)
Yeah well I don't usually start with sarcasm if I try to be nice to someone...--Mark, User talk:Markisbeest het Beest 14:07, 2 December 2010 (UTC)
Well Konig generally starts with sarcasm when someone misses an obvious point. Can we drop it or move it to the user space? -- Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig.png 15:49, 2 December 2010 (UTC)
I see... I'm just a moron apperantly, I hope you feel better now you said this. Please do the world a favor and jump of a building...--Mark, User talk:Markisbeest het Beest 14:45, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
Even geniuses miss the obvious from time to time. No one called you a moron - you really need to stop taking comments in the wrong light. -- Konig/talk 21:30, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
Little late but I'd like to point out that genii (weird correct plural I know) tend to miss the obvious more than most, so whenever someone calls you on that, view it as a sign of your intelligence :)Indigo121 02:15, 15 March 2011 (UTC)

GW 1 Zinn's Trial[edit]

Maybe this is the origin of this "organisation". Because he was exiled, he might work at everything he want. As it was mentioned, Zinn is someone who don't like to be bound by any rules, so any unethical resarches might being develpoed by his fellow-workers, Blimm for example, and Zinn himself.--86.111.111.250 00:02, 15 April 2011 (UTC)

That is the most common theory behing this, yes. - 84.31.15.202 00:15, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
I can't see Zinn or Blimm as Inquest. They don't seem that nasty. Ramei Arashi 23:24, 23 September 2011 (UTC)

Scientology[edit]

Sounds like the stuff I've heard about scientology after that last article.--User Necro Shea mo signature.jpg Necro Shea Mo 16:14, 18 September 2011 (UTC)

I fail to see how "we refuse to limit ourselves in our search for knowledge" is the same as a pyramid money scheme. Or to be less bashful, the same as claiming humanity comes from an alien race and are imperfect because we were cast out of a spaceship. Unless there is something I'm missing. Konig/talk 16:46, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
"Indeed, the ultimate goal of Inquest research is to achieve control of the Eternal Alchemy, and with it, all of Tyria." I'm just leaving this quote here, so everyone can make what they want of it. Mediggo 17:28, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
It was the whole members-for-life by force part that seemed very similar to me.--User Necro Shea mo signature.jpg Necro Shea Mo 17:41, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
You do realize, I hope, that many cult faiths were "in it for life," more or less, right? Especially fictional cults. It is certainly not unique to Scientology, if they do that (I never cared for it enough to look into it beyond it being an obvious money scam). Konig/talk 18:06, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
Sorry, it just seemed obvious.--User Necro Shea mo signature.jpg Necro Shea Mo 19:03, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
Oh, and yes, they do do that. Whatever they say on the subject-they're lying.--User Necro Shea mo signature.jpg Necro Shea Mo 19:04, 18 September 2011 (UTC)

Source for that history?[edit]

What's the source for that history? Ramei Arashi 23:22, 23 September 2011 (UTC)

I believe it would be asura week from last week. Konig/talk 23:23, 23 September 2011 (UTC)
Where? I didn't see anything about taking souls out of bodies. Nor did I find any references to Kudu in any of the blogs or the main page. Ramei Arashi 23:24, 23 September 2011 (UTC)
At the end of this "kudu" is mentioned http://ashenfold.com/2011/09/09/rp-servers-and-asura-week-through-a-roleplayers-eyes/ also here http://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-game/races/asura/ half way down " going so far as to use and abuse the spirits of sentient beings in their relentless research." ..User Jnew Sig.png 23:33, 23 September 2011 (UTC)
Thanks. Ramei Arashi 03:20, 24 September 2011 (UTC)

Exterminate[edit]

they say exterminate a lot. reference to the daleks? AboveAverageJoe 23:38, 10 September 2012 (UTC)

Feedback 2018/05/10[edit]

Could you please, replace the logo with the real one we see everywhere? White outline with a red outline inside filled with black. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 78.237.158.191 (talk) at 20:07, May 10, 2018 (UTC).

Hierarchy[edit]

Since we have a very great encyclopedia of Inquest members, can we have a specific hierarchy like: Aprentice < assistant < scientist < researchers < overseer < inquisitor? I'm very curious about this subject.. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 37.170.227.60 (talk) at 18:36, May 15, 2018 (UTC).

Feedback 2018/08/14[edit]

Can awakened bases can be referenced as Inquest base or not? If yes we need to add kourna bases--37.170.51.128 15:36, 14 August 2018 (UTC)

The Kournan bases don't seem to be of Inquest origin, even if they house Inquest equipment, but of Awakened origin. But afaik, there's no absolute confirmation about this. Konig (talk) 19:30, 14 August 2018 (UTC)
