Contains[edit]

The description states "Consuming this will unlock one random wardrobe option that you do not already have in the following categories:[..]". Hence, does this item really grant Abaddon's Mask (consumable item) as currently documented or does it in fact grant Abaddon's Mask (heavy skin), Abaddon's Mask (medium skin) and Abaddon's Mask (light skin)? Same with e.g. Zodiac Medium Armor Skin? Does it grant the skins or the actual consumable item? --Tolkyria (talk) 13:38, 11 November 2020 (UTC)

The feedback I got on discord: It unlocks the skins directly and does not give an item.
I just looked at the ingame preview: Raven Ceremonial Bracers are shown once and Adventurer's Mantle is visible 3 times (but that seems to be the only case with multiple of the same skin). —Kvothe (talk) 20:29, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
Okay, thanks. In the meanwhile I was able to check the preview, e.g. what now is stated as Zodiac Medium Armor Skin (gem store armors in general) looks to be the chest piece only in the preview.
The all-three-weight-unlocks (or six armor pieces for gem store armors) procedure was described at this discussion: "After all, items only unlock one skin, and the other skins are unlocked once the item's primary skin is unlocked. You can see this crystal clear with Guaranteed Wardrobe Unlocks." Do we know which of the three weights is unlocked first? Is it always the same? At least I aware that collections almost always uses the heavy skin, potentially that's the case here too. I.e. which one should we document here with e.g.
{{unlocks skin|<skin> (weight)}} <small>(The other weights are unlocked after receiving this skin)</small>. --Tolkyria (talk) 21:36, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
I'm not sure about the order in which weight class items are unlocked, but for easier viewer readability and for easier updating I'm going to split up the page by armor type. That way in the likely chance this page has loading issues(I imagine a lot more things will be added over time), it'll be easier to split up. I've also viewed the window on all three weight classes and the weight class skins are always the same, so I'll link to the weight class seen in the window so we're accurate, though there's some I can't do since I have the skin unlocked already. I'm also going to add a hidden div for the skins that aren't visible but are unlocked when one skin is unlocked, that way the what shows up on the page matches the window but all of the skins are showing up as unlocked on the skin page so both the skin page and this page are accurate. - Doodleplex 17:24, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
I can add a new parameter to hide the other weights, e.g. {{unlocks skin|<skin>|silent=y}} (or similar parameter name), if you want. This would avoid clunky html tags and inline style. --Tolkyria (talk) 17:40, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
Sure, that sound great! - Doodleplex 18:03, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
Added.
It would be great if we could also fix Recovered Black Lion Goods, Guaranteed Armor Unlock and Guaranteed Weapon Unlock (indeed a very tedious task!) to ultimatly remove all incorrect {{contains}}/{{contained in}} usages. --Tolkyria (talk) 19:27, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
The Armor Unlock pages could probably just copy this page but as it's own separate sub pages, ie Guaranteed Armor Unlock/skins(something like that) since they should be the same. Probably something similar to the weapons page ones that's updated. The Recovered Black Lion Goods looks like it could copy Guaranteed Wardrobe Unlock/Black Lion Weapon Skins. So perhaps not as much work if only one page needs to be updated. - Doodleplex 21:38, 5 March 2021 (UTC)

Query[edit]

The following query lists all items that are using {{unlocks skin}} on this page instead of correctly using the related skin:

  • No results found. Everything is set correctly!

Thanks for checking. I figured in updating everything a few things would slip through. - Doodleplex 19:31, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
